FBI Agent starts at $48,000
CIA Agent (Depends upon which Directorate you work under) Check http://www.cia.gov in the specific area your looking to work for.
Additionally both professions require a Bachelors degree at a minimum. And both require them in specific areas with minimum GPA requirements to apply.

Don't go by what you would make that will not make you happy. Also, it depends on what you want to do. To me thou when I was younger I was looking into them both for information technology it seemed FBI paid better. But, being an FBI agent you probably would be better off they unusually give you a car and a big pay check. You better do your time asp thou for either one with some police dept.

I recommend you to read a book called "Cold Zero". It's by a real FBI agent who later joined the elite FBI Hostage Rescue Team as a sniper. The book explained how he started, what he did once he joined, and all that, all the way up into HRT, and the cases he been to, including the infamous Ruby Ridge, and Waco.

there are a range of salary's there, but I think it's around 45k maybe and I think the better job would be a CIA agent since you get paid more and I think you have more classified info access than the FBI.
