I would finish it, if I were you.

No, not necessarily.

Young wine (no matter what the grape) will last a day or two in a bottle that is stopped and kept at room temperature away from heat or sunlight.

Older and more complex wines will be affected by the air in the bottle if left out for a day, or even a few hours.

If it is very good wine, I would invest in the aparatus sold in wine stores where you stopper the wine bottle and then create a vacuum to get as much air out as possible. This works, and it's fairly inexpensive.

Otherwise, yes, you can refrigerate the wine and then let it come to a little less than room temperature before drinking. But always keep it stopped up.

If it will be a few days or more until you finish it, yes you should refrigerate it.

"Like all foodstuffs, wine can be preserved by placing it in the refrigerator. Chemical reactions are much less rapid at lower temperatures, and hence the process of oxidation that will eventually make the wine undrinkable occurs much more slowly than it otherwise would. Lowering the temperature of the wine also inhibits the action of acetic bacteria, which threaten to spoil the wine by converting it into vinegar. I think placing the left over wine in the refrigerator is one of the most important steps in preserving it for the following day. There are, however, techniques which go further towards preserving the wine by attempting to lessen the effect of oxygen more directly."

You can chill burgundy and take it out of the fridge 30 minutes prior to serving to warm it up slightly. Burgundy, pinot noir & zinfindels do well served at a temperature around 60 degrees.

I never chill reds, that's just my preference, if you keep it in a cool room or at room temp it will be fine. Then again I prefer cabernets and they shouldn't be chilled, it diminishes the full body of the wine.

Whites on the other hand should be served around 50 - 55 degrees. Always refidgerate whites after they are opened.

No, you will ruin a burgundy if you refrigerate it. You DO need to cork it or find some way of sealing it and then try to finish it within a week or so for optimum deliciousness. ;-)

You only refrigerate white and blush wines. Red wines do not belong in the fridge.

Not for a red, but you should consume it in 2-3 days

No. But if you want to keep it for more than 2 days you need to get an air pump that can pump the air out after it is opened & recorked.
