Pray about it, do what God wants, if you are meant to be, you will end up there.

I agree with hwmabire3. And as a Pastor myself, I will ask you the same thing a lot of Pastors asked me when I was called into Ministry. Is there anything else that you could do to make a living at that you would be happy doing? If so do the other thing. When God calls you all you want to do in life if spread the gospel, it burns inside of you day and night. God is the last thing on your mind at night and the first when you wake up in the morning.
People on this site cannot answer that question properly, because we do not know your life. We do not know what you are truly like, you seem to be a good person with a fair amount of Biblical knowledge, but beyond that ?
You need to attend your denominations accredited schools, and then hopefully they require you to take some tests, and interview with the top people in your denomination. Then they will go over your tests and interview sheets, and seek God about it, and they will then let you know if you have shown yourself approved.
Always keep in mind that this is a 24/7 calling, the pay is far below what we should get, we are held to a higher standard by both man and God, when you stand before God on judgment day you will not only answer for youself but also what you have taught others, you will be critisized, blamed for things you never did or said. You will spend long hours with the family of people who are dying, and some them will blame God for it.
After saying all that I need to say that I would trade this life for anything else. I love being in the ministry, and everything it holds.

The most thankless job in the world is a Pastor.Long hours ,little pay.You will one day stand before God and not just give account for yourself, but also the flock you have been given.
Are you ready ? Can you say, you will leave all and follow him?
Can you sit beside the bed of a child dying of cancer, and comfort the family? Can you hold a grieving child in your arms and explain why God took mommy to heaven?
Being a Pastor is so much more then preaching.
FALL ON YOUR KNEES, don't get up till you know you are called.
God Bless

I think you would be a good pastor, but not at first, you have a lot to learn.
I also would not be a good pastor at first and for the same reason.
But that is just my opinion and all I have to go on is yahoo answers.
If God has called you to be a pastor then he has already given you what you need to start the work.
I'm not criticizing I'm trying to be honest with you. I hope you take it that way.
Blessings to you too David

I presume you want an honest answer. After reading some of the questions that you have posed in this forum, I think you are too biased and too confrontational to lead a congregation. You are not consistent with your "Blessings," rather they seem to fluctuate with your mood of the evening. Sometimes you give very good answers and project love to all, regardless of how absurd and confrontational the question was ... other times, you become the confrontational, absurd questioner. Sometimes you command respect, other times, you come across as condemning and judgmental. In order to lead a congregation, you must be consistent in your love for all and desire to teach others the way of God.
That's just my observation. Others may feel differently.

That is not the question. The question is, are you absolutely certain that the Lord has called you for such a responsibility. If you know that He has; place all your faith entirely in Him, let the Holy Spirit fill and use you to speak and teach, teach only what the Word of God -all of it- says and pray continuously. Then you will be a good pastor/minister in the eyes of God. And that's all that really matters, isn't it?

I have read some of your answers and I think that you are sincere about your beliefs. I don't usually agree with what you say but then I am not a messianic jew. Have you been to seminary or rabbi school? Do you love people or do you just want the attention? Do you love God with all your heart mind and soul? Your neighbor as yourself? If you answered yes then you might be a good leader.

Well, being that my huband is a Pastor, I have to ask you a few questions. How are you at handling criticism? Are you good with stressful situations? How would you handle being blamed for something that was not your fault? Do you like working hard for little monetary gain? Do you like moving a lot? These are all questions you SERIOUSLY need to consider. I'm not trying to make you feel like you can't pastor...but you just need to know what it's really like before you jump in. Good luck and God Bless!!

Your commitment to the Lord would indicate potential ... perhaps after some seminary schooling and a lot of soul searching you will be ready. If this is your desire and you've been called, I wish you much love and Godspeed.

From your answers that I have read, I'd say yes. Can you speak to a crowd well, eloquently, etc.? I don't know what denomination you affiliate with, but the Lutheran Church requires seminary study. No matter the denomination, study is always a good idea. Gods blessings...
