the natural thing to assume is disinterest.. but shes shy and i asked her out and she said yes a couple months ago. but things dipped and she does the look to right thing when i meet her eye... i would again assume disinterest but this was the sign i used months ago to ask her out.

ur take?

if she's shy, i can relate. it probably has to do with self confidence too. i know i'm not ugly at all, but have low confidence. i get nervous when a guy is looking right at me while speaking, because i feel like he's studying my face and is going to find something wrong with it, even though i'm sure it's just in my head.

the next time she does make eye contact with you, tell her how nice her eyes are or smile. she'll probably smile too and chances are she'll blush. but this will up her confidence and she will look forward to making eye contact with you again if she knows that you're thinking good thoughts about her when she looks at you.

if she was disinterested, i think she would show this through different body language, and showing aggitation.

Eye contact. Well I was taught to believe that no matter the situation, if someone is unwilling to make eye contact, whether it has anything to do with you or the present situation at hand, they are hiding something. For a shy person they are hiding themselves, but for most they are hiding things that they are afraid or redicient for people to find out.

In this case I would say don't push. Even if she does't you keep visual contact with her face when you two are speaking. If she is open to you she will come around and if not she won't. You should read a book on body language and dating, it could be of more help.

Some people are just uncomfortable with constant eye contact while conversing with someone. I don't think it's disinterest if she agreed to go out with you. Just give her some space and time to get to know you better.

Could be either. Maybe she doesn't know how to say "no" to you in person, or maybe she's got the major hots for you and it is shynes. Here's what to do: write her a short note in a cute blank card and mail it to her, asking if she'll date you. Girls love that romantic mail stuff. Ask her to reply by text-messaging you or writing you back, and make sure your phone # is down there as well. Do this and you'll know for sure. Just be patient and wait for her to respond.

My sister has a hard time making eye contact with ONE GROUP OF PEOPLE ... the people she is interested in, intimidated by and eager to impress. (wink, wink)

idk. sometimes if i'm in a shy mood and a guy's looking at me, i get embarassed so i don't want to look him in the eye for fear of blushing a lot. haha.
