I love egg bake but have never made it. I don't like green peppers, onions, olives. All recipes are welcome. I would especially love one that I wouldn't have to let sit in the fridge before baking. Thanks so much.

Here's the one I make:

6 slices of bread cut into 1" cubes
1/2 lb shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 lb bacon, diced, fried and drained well (or sausage or ham)
1 can mushrooms, drained
8 eggs
4 cups milk
2 tsp salt
2 tsp dry mustard

Grease 9x13 pan. Layer bread cubes, cheese, meat and mushrooms. Beat eggs, milk, salt and dry mustard. Add to pan. Bake at 350 for about 1 hr.

Baked Eggs

INGREDIENTS
12 eggs
1 (5 ounce) can evaporated milk
1 teaspoon ground dry mustard
1 to taste salt and pepper to taste
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking pan. Sprinkle cheese evenly in the bottom of the pan.
In a large bowl, beat together eggs, milk, mustard, salt and pepper. Pour egg mixture on top of cheese.
Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes or until firm. Let cool slightly before cutting into squares to serve.

If you don't like scallions either, just leave them out...

"Ham and Cheese Quiche"

Pastry for a 9" quiche
1/2 cup (2 oz.) shredded Swiss cheese
1 cup (4 oz.) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese; divided
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour; divided
1/2 cup diced cooked ham
2 tbsp. honey mustard
5 eggs; beaten
1 1/4 cups half-and-half
1/4 cup chopped green onions (scallions)
1/4 tsp. salt

Line a 9" quiche dish with pastry; trim excess pastry around edges. Prick bottom and sides of pastry with a fork. Bake at 400* - 5 minutes; remove from oven and gently prick with a fork. Bake an additional 5 minutes.
Combine Swiss cheese, 1/2 cup of the Cheddar, and 1 tbsp. of the flour; toss gently. Sprinkle evenly in pastry shell. Combine ham and honey mustard; toss gently to coat. Spoon ham mixture over cheese.
Combine eggs, half-and-half, green onions, remaining 1 tbsp. flour and salt; stir well. Pour mixture into pastry shell; top with remaining 1/2 cup Cheddar. Bake at 350* for 40-45 minutes or until set. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

Egg Bake

Ingredients
12 Eggs
1 pkg Frozen spinach
2 Small tomatoes
2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
Asaparagus, mushrooms or any other vegetables you like
1/2 cup Cream or milk
1/2 Shredded hash browns

Preparation
Whip eggs and milk until frothy
Put a thin layer of hasbrowns on bottom of a greased casserole pan
Add spinach, vegetables and 1 cup of cheese
Pour in egg mixture
Bake for 15-20 minutes
Add the rest of the cheese to the top and bake until melted.
Cut into blocks and serve
Cook's Notes
Individual blocks can be refrigerated for up to a week and reheated in the microwave for a fast and healthy breakfast

Egg Bake

12 large eggs
1/3 cup skim milk
6 ounces frozen spinach, thawed
1 (8 ounce) package sliced fresh mushrooms
1 lb sweet Italian sausage, browned
1 (8 ounce) package shredded cheese, your choice

Brown sausage in skillet. Remove and drain.
In same skillet saute vegetables for about 5 minutes.
In a large bowl, whisk eggs and milk. Stir in veggies, meat and cheese.
Bake at 375F in a 9x13 baking dish for 45 to 60 minutes or until set.
Substitute: Ham for sausage and broccoli or aspargus for spinach. Egg substitute for eggs.

Baked Eggs

Ingredients

2 pounds Jack cheese
2 pounds Cheddar
3 red peppers
2 pounds mushrooms
2 red onions
1 bunch basil
1/2 bunch parsley
6 ounces butter
20 eggs
4 cups milk
2 pounds ham

In processor slice peppers, remove. Slice onions, remove. Slice mushrooms, remove. In processor chop basil and parsley until fine. Remove. In processor, grate Jack with cheddar cheese. Remove. Julienne ham by hand. In medium pan, melt butter. Add onion; cook 5 minutes. Add peppers and heat with onions. Add mushrooms and cook 10 min. Drain well. Prepare a 6 x 13 x 2-inch pan with cooking spray. Spread 1/2 of cheese into pan-spread peppers, onions and mushrooms over cheese. Spread parsley and basil over vegetable mixture. Spread ham over parsley and basil. Spread remaining cheese over ham. In processor, place eggs and milk. Blend well. Pour over mixture. Set on cookie sheet and bake 1 to 1-1/2 hours at 300 degrees.

sponge cake

Preparation Time: 10 minutes

Cooking Time: 15-20 minutes

You need:
3 eggs
100g castor sugar
100g Self Raising flour
2 Tablespoons warm milk
25 grams melted butter

Method:
Pre-heat the oven to 180 C (moderate oven).

Separate the eggs, beat the egg whites until fluffy. Add sugar and beat until stiff.

Fold in the melted butter, sifted flour and milk, with wooden spoon until mixed through. Remember the more you stir, the heavier the cake.

Pour the mix in a lined, greased cake tin and cook in the oven for 15-20 minutes.

Serving Suggestion: Decorate with whipped cream and strawberries or your favourite fruit.

here you go , simple and easy,,,,, spray a pan with non stick spray or coat with butter,,,, throw in a few slices of bread, while doing this fry a few sausage patties, in skillit,,,, when done sit aside to cool,,,, mix six to eight eggs depends on how many you want to serve,with three tlbs milk and one fourth teaspoon dry mustard or one teaspoon reg. mustard,, dash of salt and pepper,one half cup monterray jack cheese and one half cup mild chedder , both shredded pour over bread bake at 350 till set do not overbake,,, add any veggies you like , 30 to 45 mins usually does it hope you enjoy .
