she can't even afford a stamp to send me a chrismass card. She sold her her hair to get money so she could get me something. I gave her my watch and she gave it back. I love her. Whats up with that?

If a person is Rich with love but poor with money they are still ahead of the game and in the end will come out on top. She sold her hair? Wow. Well sell your watch and take her out on a nice dinner. Hope your watch is worth more than her hair....

Your girlfriend is poor; get over it. If she gave back your watch it may be it is a sign that she can work with her situation without your assistance. It might also be that she is a little embarrassed about her situation and doesn't want the awkwardness of you helping. Who know. If you love her then you'll understand.

Give her a gift that doesn't have slimy wrist sweat all over it, I would have given it back, too... unless it was a pocket watch, in which case, get with the times, man.
So, she's poor... if you like her, then keep her. She probably didn't take your watch because she didn't have anything to return to you. It's embarrassing getting more than you give.

you know that she is poor, and why are expecting her to give you something. Why don't help her find a job or share whatever you have, she is your girlfriend anyway. and why did you give her your watch? Do you expect her to sell it so she can buy a stamp and a card?

if she's really that poor then she prob is self concious about "chairty" and she may feel that your watch is a charity for her -- which she doesnt want.
it could also be that your watch is really nice and she felt that she couldnt accept a gift that was so expensive. she may have felt bad that she couldn't give you something as nice as you got her.
it was a really sweet thing to do tho...
maybe try buying her flowers and chocolate? she'll feel really special if you do that.

wow ok..she doesnt need a WATCH. what she needs is ur love and support.
good lord shes selling her hair and u give her ur watch?! i don't mean to be rude but if you love her you would help help get a job or help support her..
i kno ppl say its the thought that counts when it comes to gifts, but if you love her, help her with the money thing.

your question is why she returned the watch or why she's poor? Maybe she didn't like the watch. Or she didn't want charity from you, you gave her YOUR watch didn't you?

Did you ever think that she loves you too and she'd rather do what she can and not take from you? Maybe this ? is real,maybe not but if you really loved her,you wouldn't be putting her on blast online.

Maybe she didn't feel right in taking something of yours to get money. She probably didn't want to take your things in order to get something for you.
