To many times people on here have said this or that about God, so now I am asking, what does God mean to you? To mean he is everyting. But what is he to you? Be honest, and don't let bad ratings corrupt your answer, I want to know. Evolutionists, what does God mean to you? Because after all, you know that somewhere, there is a God. And Agnostics, What does God mean to you? I know you might want to live your life day to day, but what if there really was a God...What would he mean to you? I personally love the Lord with all my heart. But I would love to hear what you think...

He means a father, a friend, a protector. God is the only thing I have when I have no one else. He gives me the strength to get through tough times. He keeps me sane...he keeps me honest. I am thankful for the day that I accepted Jesus as my Lord and savior.

There is no such thing as god he was created in the imagination of stupid people so they could feel comfortable with their guilt.
If we really want to worship something and yes call it GOD then why not marvel at the sun coming up every day giving us life. The moon and earth and universe relentless in its cycles and the earth providing us with oxygen, water and nourishment.
Stupid people of very below average intelligence believe and worship God because they are insecure about the unimportance of their lives and when pressed for answers to their idiotic beliefs respond "i don't need to know anymore than that" ... now that's what i call ignorance.. GOD=FEAR+IGNORANCE.
When we die we rot, burn or if we are lucky we get fed to a man eating animal...and all jews should be fed to the pigs instead of creating wars.

After exploring various religions and philosophies through out my life, I've created my own Sacred Trinity ... for me (you can create your own): God is the Blessed He, She, and It.

He is God the Father modeled from my Christian upbringing. He allows me to be angry with Him and to tell Him directly how I feel and what I think about the way He challenges me. And when I'm not angry with Him I can also discuss what the challenge is about and express gratitude for what I'm learning.

The Blessed She is influenced by Native, pagan, and other earth-based cultures. She connects me to the rich resources of wisdom from the planet and my ancestors. She provides comfort and nurturance, and reminds me that I'm capable of handling the challenges I face.

The Blessed It comes from the Tao or simply the spirit of the Universe. It's that vital force that is everything, connects everything, and cannot be separate from anything. I think of a web that holds me - I will never fall. Like a wind or water current that will guide me, if I can settle down and stop thrashing about.

All three aspects are what God means to me. I wish you well as you search for your own meanings.

A really bad idea that the world needs to get rid of. Honestly, that is how I feel. I don't get why you religious type always say "you know in your heart that there is a God" or something to that effect. Just because you guys believe that this "God" exists, it doesn't mean that everyone will have the same beliefs hidden in their minds. It's akin to me saying to you that "You know deep in your heart that evolution exists".

Believing in any single version of the Supreme Being betrays narrowness in thought. Denying the existence of any number of Higher Beings betrays the same. This goes for all you Christians and hardcore atheists out there.

In reality (subjective as my reality would be), there is a vast pool of religious concepts: of gods, Buddhas, spirits, fey, kami, Mary the humble peasant of the Jews, Mary Mother of God Queen of Heaven of the Catholics, Lord Satan of the LeVeyans and the Greater Poop of the Discordians. I am personally a believer that whatever you believe in automatically becomes true in the universe inside your head, and thus you live your life according to the goals (or the lack of which) you set for yourself, using the resources (or lack of which) found inside your personal conception of the universe.

As such, I believe that everything can exist, such as a fiery fertility god with multiple supple breasts, as long as you put your faith into it. And to me, the only reason one should believe in any religious is to make everything run the way you want it to. We believe in the value of money, for example, so that the world economy would run smoothly. If we all decide we don’t want to believe in money anymore, it collapses in a day. If you would stop believing in the meaning implied by language, I would not make any sense to you at this instant, because of the lack of sense behind my written alphabet.

That automatically implies I am not agnostic, as I am adamantly and resolutely sure that my belief of everything that I just wrote is the truest vision of reality, and I am not shaky in my foundation of my aforementioned belief. Perhaps, I too am narrow in thought.

However, to properly answer your question: If I were to discard the multifarious concepts of having multiple gods or no god or unsure about the existence of god/s or believing in every god ever created or just plain indifferent if the gods do exist or not (such is the position of Buddhism), and settle on believing in a Supreme Being alone... he would not be the one exalted in the Old Testament. This is the worst possible version of the Supreme Being there is: racist to the core (choosing the Jews above Egyptians), destructive (drowning the world), and has absolutely no sense of purpose except to have his creation to worship him in supreme vanity. I would, however, choose to believe in some Supreme Being that would be a fine amalgam of the God of the Gnostics (who is a God of knowledge, not love), Hermeticists (who need us to know him through being co-equals) and Kabbalists (who is literally everything, including you, me and beyond). Do I love this concept of God that I only created right this instant? No. At most, I'd give him a high-five. I would also like her/it/him to be overtly and metasexually promiscuous of the parts that have emanated from her/its/his radiance – those being the rocks, trees, people, beasts, and skyscrapers, and worship me instead, just for kicks.

Nothing. The concept of a personal god is an attempt to confabulate an explanation for an essentially meaningless existence. I am a Buddhist.

Well God is a concept concievably devoloped by the babylon, but to me it is a concept of a higher power. A god is either an antagonist or a protaginist. To Christians, Allah would be considered an Antagonist, but to the Islams he would be considered a Protaginist, unless that Islam was a pacifist, then his/her view would me mixed or neutral.

G.O.D.=Great Other Dimensions=Infinity=ALL. To a human mind G.O.D. is unfathomable and unknown. On the other hand, to me, My God means: Love, Mercy and Grace, and One God represents Unity, of Life and Nature, Land and Sea, Earth and the Sky, for example, unity of all powers=Absolute Universal Power=ALL.
Thank you for asking.

God means love and understanding. God does not judge and He does not get involved with us here.

I heard a lady once boasting that because she had prayed God had spared her pain at the dentist. LOL Why would He do that and allow children to be raped and murdered? He wouldn't!

.God is the great I Am. He is the eternal God, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. He is the creator and sustainer of everything. Every good thing comes from Him. He is my Father, my Savior, and source of everything I have
