A man, with his wife and his daughter go on vacation to a lodge in Lake Tahoe. They've wanted to see snow for a long time. On their vacation, their daughter gets pretty sick. So the wife sends her husband to go buy some medicine. He leaves and when he comes back his wife and daughter are dead. The police ask him what happened. He tells them that when he came back from buying medicine, the doors were locked and he didn't take his keys. He screamed for them to open him up but he got no answer. So he went to look through the window and it was fogged up, so he rubbed out the fog and saw his wife and daughter dead. So then he called the cops. When he told the cops what happened they immediately arrested him. How did they know he killed them?

The window wouldn't be fogged up on the outside. However this isn't conclusive evidence. Too many non-specific stuff also like which keys the car keys or the house key?

Ok, maybe there was snow right? So if he was the murderer would he have really gone for medicine? No.

So here it is, the car engine was cold, and there were no footprints or tire tracks in the snow, to or from. The only footprints led out the door, just outside the door, where he called the police.

Aside from the husband always being the first non official suspect the fog on the outside isn't right and he was the last and most likely to be inside the room or scene of the crime of course this is alleged and must go to true bill and trial.

because if he was able to call the cops he must have called them from a clel phone since the house phone was locked inside. if that was the case he would have called the house phone to ask someone to unnlock the door.

If he left his keys in the house how was he able to start his car?

Fog on outside of window usually disappears immediately even if someone just breathed on the glass.

The fog would not be on the outside of the window and he would have had to have taken his keys to drive to the local Rite-Aid.
