I THINK IT IS IMPORTANT

To whom? Him or her? What is important in getting married is your state of mind. If your proposed partner has had other relationships, remember, he/she is with you now and considers you the most important person in his/her life. The fact that there has been a previous relationship shouldn't impact this one. There are many things far more important than virginity that each party brings to a marriage, things such as integrity, honor, openness and a willingness to accept the other, warts and all. Focus on the gifts each of you brings to the other, the positive things that are really important. If virginity is really important to one, you might ask why it is so important and where does it rank with , say honesty and integrity?

Its mostly a religious thing or just your own personal beliefs, whether your ready or not.... Most people wait for the perfect person and they will loose their virginity before they get married... Which is personally what I did... It was a big religious thing for me (to wait until I got married to loose my virginity) but then I met the guy I knew I was going to marry and why wait til we are married to do it, when we both know we will only be with each other for the rest of our lives.... It's a big step and you have to be sure your ready and your with the right person...

It was to me but that's because it was a religious thing for both me and my husband. What's more important I think is to lose your virginity with someone who really loves you and will be gentle and make it a good experience for you.
Also, and I know this isn't very common today, but since my husband was a virgin too I'm really glad that that was something we could share together. After I met him I was really glad I hadn't lost my virginity with someone else, because now it makes the bond between the two of us even stronger.

It depends on the person and their values and morals. Some people think virginity is extremely important and others don't think it is a big deal. Either way it is a personal choice but love, trust, commitment, and honesty should matter.

We are living for the future - future existence of our generations. Beyond brain, there is something that controls man, can be called luck - the result of good deeds in the previous births.
A good son is far better than a thousand acre land. Son makes the ancestors/forefathers souls to live peacefully. The soul of a man who did good deeds need to come to earth again and he needs a good 'Yoni' to take birth. Virginity mentally and physically contributes to the luck and power of tolerance and to believe what god does is good for us. Importance of Virginity depends on the aim of life - the choice is given to you by the God. He just looks where you have to be sent in your next birth and 'You' and 'I' are his parts - fullfledged, but if we are not lucky, we can not understand it and believe it. Worship him and he would clarify as the mental ability to understand things is not equal to everybody. THAT IS WHY YOU ARE GIVEN THE BIRTH AS HUMAN and not as an animal or bird or tree.

If you are getting married to that person who is virgin then he/she expects from you for the same and vice versa but i don't think that in today's modern world it does matter. But in some case or say in some part of india in today's time also it is considered as a highest part of life because old people think that it is sign of loyality towords your partner.

No, I don't believe so. There are too many bad things happening to young girls these days to focus on a girl's virginity.

I also believe that women (and men) need to know what is out there to be able to appreciate true love and connection to another human being.

I believe that sex is an important part of a healthy relationship. I cannot imagine committing to someone for LIFE if I had no clue whether we were compatible or not.

Society today feel it is not important but it really depends on each individual. I feel one should wait until after marriage.
