It is the truth, if there was no mercy and love we would all go to Hell.

If you're not a christioan you do not beleive in Heaven or Hell do you?
Religions are so stupid, they're like the monster stories parents tell their kids to make them behave.
It's funny how most religions are so different but they all have their Hell.

Christianity and Islam are Satanic and Fear based religion.
History reveals it again and again of their religious intollerance.
eg. Romans were murderous, but even when they captured Israel they did not force it to convert into Roman religion, but the Catholic Church converted all its captured territories by force.

It is fortunate that India was captured by British and not the Catholic Church otherwise Hindus would form a part of History Books.

God is love. The fear of God is the rightful fear of the consequences of rejecting His love. That's like telling someone who's always done everything for you, but demands respect, to f... off. You can keep telling Him to get lost, and if you humbly repent He'll forgive and accept you, as good as anyone else. But if you continue to say "Get lost" until the day you die, even His patience runs out and He says, "OK, have it your way". Then you get eternally separated from His goodness and mercy, a more terrible thing than you can imagine.

Look bluebootz, it seems to me that a lot of your questions are designed to poke fun at religion, or at least tweak the noses of religious types (I am not one, by the way). Why do you do this man or woman, especially with your "fetish based" picture. Why not give us all a break and use your gray matter to ask something important or world shaking. It is quite obvious what your religious leanings are,(or aren't) but it's getting kind of boring. I am sorry, but that is my opinion.

To many, especially Buddhists, this god-mentality and their concept of their heaven/hell mentality is definately fear driven.
If there is a god, would god, who is suppose to be Love, predestine certain individuals to go to heaven and others not to ? Does this not interfer with free will ? Yes, it does.
If there is a god, and this god is Love. Then why do so many people in the world die every day, statistics prove it is up to 750,000 people a day that die daily from starvation. If god loves them, why doesn't he rain down Manna (food) from heaven, as he (supposedly) did for the hebrews/jews in the old testament of the bible, or the Tanak (for the jews of today) ?
One can ask so many other questions similar to these or even better ones.
And the new testament of the christian bible says god is no respector of persons. Why would a loving god rain manna down from heaven for his people in the wilderness, and not do this for people that are starving today, and will continue to starve tomorrow, and over 750,000 die a day, because god didn't provide or rain down food from heaven for them ?
Why ? Why, because there is no god.

Evolution of the Universe and evolution of humanity is correct. And Science is correct.

And humanity has within his power, within him all the answers he needs to make the suffering of humanity come to an end through the 4 Noble Truths, and the Eightfold Path of the householder. The Buddhas taught this 700 yrs. before the birth of jesus. christianity is the largest religion in the world only because it strives to put fear in people, and then converts many to its religion. Buddhism does not set out to convert others to its philosophy of life. And atheists (which a buddhist is as well) does not strive to convert others either.
The Buddha was a humanitarian. He was Atheist. He didn't claim to be a god, or to have all the answers; but simply endevored to help humanity understand suffering and to provide a mean out of the sufferings of life which all people experience to some degree or another.

Anyone that says You will go to a hell-fire place for all eternity for the short lived say 80 years that you lived on earth, because you did not believe in a god, or jesus (& receive jesus into your heart), or because of your sins or mistakes in life, IS living in delusion. And a god that says you would go to a hell-fire place for all eternity because you did not believe in him, or jesus, is not a loving god.

Conclusion, there is No god.
god can not be proven, and will never be able to be proven. It all is merely based on a blind faith, and a fear based obediance to a so called holy book written by controlling men back in the day. And many people blindly live their lives in total adherence to this book, written by controlling individuals. The concept of an eternal hell-fire was written by Augustine in the Catholic Church, before that the concept of a hell, was the grave, total destruction of the spirit and soul of a human, and eternal separation from god as a result. In reality, there is no hell, heaven, or god. jesus did exist as a historical figure, who live a good life, but claimed he was the or a son of god, as the jews and roman soldiers killed him for claiming that. The concept of jesus being god or a god, is something which evolved for years after jesus was killed.

So you are correct. Since you are not christian, after you die, according to the christians, you will do to an eternal hell-fire place, on judgement day. Their god will send you there for not believing in him, or in jesus, the one who supposedly died on a tree for your sins.
You are totally correct, It is a Fear-based Religion !!
You give yourself the 10 points.

We really don't know what happens. Only God knows the answer to that question. The Eastern Orthodox Church teaches that God is very merciful. We are the Church, but where the church is outside of us, we do not know. We don't venture to guess. We pray for the whole world, and death is not the end of the salvation process... Jesus preached to those in hades. God is without time... so who knows? Only God knows...hope this helps.

When you didn't do what you were told as a child your parents spanked you. You feared your dad because if you screwed up he'd kick your butt. At least mine did and I love them for it. Should I be telling them that they should not have used scare tactics with me that it was unconstitutional or not politically correct or I don't believe in parents who spank and threaten to kick my butt. So you don't really exist mom and dad. If i cant see you your not really there. lol sorry I got a little carried away. God gave his law told you the payment for transgressing his law and offers you forgiveness through Christ Jesus. But everyone just ignores this little bit of information because they are to stubborn and proud.

*cough cough* excuse me, but some people here I believe are alittle of base, allow me to post my view here. In a short word, YES. If you have not accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal savior, when you die, you will go to hell. Now, just hear me out. To many people make this God out to be some all powerful bully, he isn't. God is God, he is God, he is LOVE. God loved YOU. So much that he sent his one and only son, who he loved more than anything. Down to earth, to be spat on, and cussed at, and insulted to the highest degree humanly possible. And then heartlessly murdered at the hands of the very people he created. But God knew that what he was having his son do, was for us, for the people he loved enough that he would give up his treasure. HIS SON. Jesus died for you and for me, so that we could be set free, to live, to be happy, and to know that someday we will be with him in heaven. Now don't get me wrong, being a Christian isn't always easy, but it is right. There is a heaven, and there is a hell. God is waiting for you, he loves you, he gave you everything, and all he asked for in return was your love. Is that to much to ask?

If what you say is true - then there's going to be one heck of an overcrowding problem in hell isn't there? All the people who studied or devoted their lives to differing belief systems will not be forgiven but will burn in hell? That's a lot of buddhists (myself one of them), a lot of muslims, a lot of Jews, a lot of hindus... etc etc etc.

Personally, I tend to feel that God would understand that all people were attempting to achieve the very same thing, but merely took varying paths towards this purpose... and therefore, lived their lives to their full spiritual potential. What deity could possibly punish that?

If you haven't accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, yes, you should have fear. God loved us by sending His only begotten Son to die for our wretched souls - in that way, there is more love than there is fear. Why not dispel all doubt, accept Jesus before it is too late, and do away with all of the fear? God loved you, so why can't you love Him and accept His gift of eternal life?
