Yo tengo el mismo problema con espanol. OKay now that I did that I would say friends that aren't afraid to correct you as you are speaking and watch more movies. If you watch it on DVD you can select subtitles and the language of them. I say do english on english, this way you can hear it spoken as you read it. Also try to make friends that aren't afraid of reading more than just the articles in Playboy. Buena suerte!

If you can read well, you know the fundamentals. Friends are a good choice, as long as they are willing to correct your english as you converse. I am (or was before i got distracted with life) in the same boat with Spanish. I could understand my teachers, preachers (about 80%), and classmates, but not native local language (went i went to Mexico for a week). Others could understand me, but not comfortably.

At my college their were some people with Campus Christians that were conversation partners with people from other countries. They got together for an hour a week to speak english. Maybe someone might be willing to do that for you.

A decade ago to learn English, you had to attend costly English classes or purchase course material like tapes and books. Now you can learn English for free from the comfort of your home using the Internet. The BBC and the British Council offer a number of on line courses, which teach written and spoken English. You can also improve your English by watching television programs and reading English newspapers. For more information, visit http://tinyurl.com/qnzpt

I'd suggest looking for a class in English as a second language (ESL) Local Colleges, particularly the community colleges offer them. A nice person who doesn't criticize would help. I have a woman who cleans for me and is Polish speaking. When we are talking I'll pop in a word when she is struggling. I think she learns from this. I guess what I'm suggesting is to immerse yourself in situations that require English. Or try video professor.

Experience is the best way to learn something. I recommend hanging around people who speak it as their first language. You Will be surprised at how fast you learn!
