Zionism refers to a socio-religious movement within Judaism that calls for all Jews to reclaim Israel and immigrate to that land. Most Jews and Christians believe that Israel is the Jewish promised land and that the Jews are destined to inherit it.
The Zionist movement has been around for centuries, ever since the Jews were scattered outside of what is now known as Israel. However, it really didn't take shape until the late 1890's in Europe (particularly Germany/Bavaria) with the First Zionist Congress.
But it wasn't until after World War II and the Holocaust that the Zionist dream was solidified and hundreds of thousands of Jews migrated to Israel (mostly from Europe). This mass influx of European Jewry to the area then known as Palestine caused quite a bit of tension and animosity between the Jews and the Palestinians, but the Jews won control of the area after a few wars.
Critics of Zionism (particularly most Arab countries) claim that the Jews/Zionist stole the land of Palestine from its rightful people, the Palestinians, and are, to this day, oppressing them.

Zionism is a political movement that supports a homeland for the Jewish people in the Land of Israel, where Jewish nationhood is thought to have evolved somewhere between 1200 BC and late Second Temple times, and where Jewish kingdoms existed up to the 2nd century CE.
Zionism is typically defined as "an international movement originally for the establishment of a Jewish national or religious community in Palestine and later for the support of modern Israel."

What is Zionism?
One of our most oft-asked questions is "what is Zionism?"
Zionism is a movement founded by Theodor Herzl in 1896 whose goal is the return of Jews to Eretz Yisrael, or Zion, the Jewish synonym for Jerusalem and the Land of Israel.
The name of "Zionism" comes from the hill Zion, the hill on which the Temple of Jerusalem was situated.
Supporters of this movement are called "Zionists".
The purpose of this website is to explain why traditional Jews do not support Zionism (the return to the land called "Israel") and why the Zionist idealogy is totally contrary to traditional Jewish law and beliefs and the teachings of the Holy Torah.

"Zion"/"Sion" is a Canaanite word meaning "hill" or "height." When David captured "Fortress of Zion", he renamed it "City of David".
"Zion" isn't something that a descendant of David would use, it's more like something an enemy of David would use.
It's possible that current days Zionisme is an attempt to recapture what David captured.
Zionisme can be said as a movement against God done under the name of God.
Hitler, Stalin, Osama bin Laden, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Yasser Arafat, and so on are Zionist accomplices.
Zionisme are liked by antitheists and fooled theists.
Zionisme are disliked by atheists and theists.

Zionism was founded in the 19th century by a group of European Jews who believed that their religion gave them the right to settle in Palestine.
After WW2 they flooded into Palestine as illegal immigrants and subsequently engaged in terrorism to gain control of the land from the christian and muslim arabs who lived there
The displaced arabs are still living in refugee camps while they see more jews from Russia, Europe and the US take over their land.
Until the Palestinians regain their land there will never be peace in the Middle East.
