theres this girl in my 1st period. shes really quiet and shy and never says a thing and looks REALLY beautiful. im a senior and shes a sophmore. to be honest, because shes so quiet, i never really took much notice of her until the past few days; in which case i just asked her for notes on what i missed on the 2 days i was out. she seemed very sweet. the problem is that i have the rest of this week and then 3 days next week b4 i get off for holiday break. should i ask her for her number, what should i do?

If I were her, I'd be flattered that a senior was interested in me. You never know, she may like you too and may want you to make the first move. It's all in the approach. Strike up a conversation and then end with asking for her number. You don't want to look desparate or that you're just trying to collect girls' numbers so that's why you should talk about something briefly and then end with asking for the digits. Good luck and if she doesn't give it, she's a damn fool. I'm kidding.

Ask for her IM and her #. But first find out if she has a boyfriend. Just ask her if she's seeing anyone. If she says yes, then drop it. If no, ask if you can call her sometime. Just because you like her doesn't mean that she likes you. When she gives you her number wait TWO days to call her. Otherwise you seem like a stalker. When you do call her, make it for a reason. A date is a time, planned activity that a man intiates and pays for. Ask her on one. Don't do that hmm, um, ya uh, so crap for 45 minutes. lol.

hey, similar prob. except im the shy grl who's a sophomore too... lol anyways i think u should ask her for her number. maybe you guys could chill for new yrs or something. get to know her. if shes quiet, maybe she's going through something or maybe she has gone through something traumatic in the past. just take your time and dont rush anything bcuz you dont want to scare her. but definitely let her know your interested. you never know, she might be secretly checkin you out too..... good luck!

hmmmm. you need a plan. ask her for her number and say you'd like to take her out to a movie or something as a thank-you present for letting you borrow her notes. if she agrees to go out with you to the movie and things go well, then tell her you think she's beautiful, because if she's quiet and shy, she's probably not going to pick up on hints that you like her -- you're probably going to need to tell her outright.

If you like her go for it. She may not talk much because she's insecure. I bet that if you asked her for her number she'd be very flattered, you seem nice enough.

Go for it. Or even give her your number instead. She might not be as quiet as she appears...
