Fine textured hair can be locked if it is curly enough to retain the shape of the lock. In other words, questions and answers referring to your textureare irrelevant, if your hair is not overly curly you will have a problem. In which case you will have to look into some other options for wearing your hair natural. Keep an open mind and listen to your locktician.

Yes it will work I have had dreads for over 8 years and my hair is fine, and I have also seen many people of different nationalities with locks.
The key is you have to keep your hair dry and let it run its coarse. If you want them neat then you can have them "manicured" by a stylist, but usually with someone with fine hair not too many stylist know what they are doing they are used to curly hair when locking.
You will have to allow your hair to actually "mat" if you truly have fine hair this might turn you off in the beginning stages of growth but the end product is wonderful.
You grow with your hair in mind and spirit. There is a lot of strength in your hair and the growth of locks teach you PATIENCE, you will see if you decide to grow it. It is not a hair style, it is not supposed to look cute when you are beginning. You will have a real like "ugly duckling" analogy going on with you hair but remember the ugly duckling turned into a beautiful swan.
Also, don't call them "dread" locks the term is condecending. Research what you are doing before you do it.
Good luck
Hope this helps

Yes! I did dreadlocks on a lady once, it was so fun, and looked great. Good luck. Don't make them too chunky.

From what I've read about how to do them it should...Just use a locking product. Don't take my word for it, though. I'd research online as much as you can but the tentative answer is that you might be able to.

i do not opt for to look stereotypical/racial, although the severe time time I suggested a white guy try this, it did not look good in any respect, it appeared stupid and it known like they were attempting to be Gangster. Dreads are frequently good for coarse style of hair that African individuals have.
