Not really the gifts but the special things you share with one another is what shows you love them. Ex: cuddling, doing things together (even if you don't enjoy the same things, at least trying), listening, etc...Love notes, cards, and flowers for no reason are good too.

I write notes on the bathroom mirror when I make it steam up after a shower...then when she takes her shower and opens the shower curtains, she sees my love note in front of her on the mirror, but it disappears when the steam goes away...
and yes I go out the back door and walk around out to the car in the drive way, and put a note on the steering wheel so when she goes out in the morning, there is note to make her day better..
and stuff like that

smile
good luck

Yes absolutely. Well not the gifts really. But a note packed with my lunch or put in the car for me, that would be so romantic.

If the object of your affection is the typical product of rancid social and moral upbringing, anything that resonates of corny, truly meaningless pseudo romantic tidbits such as little love notes, chocolates on Valentine's Day and all such BS. If the object of your affection is a sensible, logical, mature person, it'll be the constant struggle to supply that person with the stimuli necessary to grown in and of themselves and make the relationship flourish. That is demonstrated constantly in your assertiveness, patience, tolerance, support, respect, and constant communication just to name a few.

They are the ties that bind.
"God is in the details" I've heard said someplace. I believe that God exists in each and every one of us, especially lovers. Between some is a magic so carefully and equally suspended that it could be nothing more than a higher form of power.
