Can you smoke pot and still donate platelets?

My really good friend has lukemia and a few of my friends smoke a lot of pot. Can you still donate platelets even though you have smoked pot?

It's acceptable as long as you are not under the influence of marijuana at the time of donation.

It's acceptable as long as they do not smoke two or three weeks before the time of donation.
