Vinegar helps to suppress the appetite so if you're mentally willing to drink it (or eat it, as in a pickle) thinking that you are doing so in order to curb your appetite and let that be enough then yes, it can help you lose weight.
Losing weight is often more of a mental challenge than a physical one... let the vinegar do the chemical physical thing and concentrate on conquering the mental aspect of not taking in more calories than you burn in a day and you will lose weight.

no... I tried that for a few weeks, no results.. it actually made me have heartburn something awful....
I do however love using cider vinegar on my hair as an after rince while shampooing.. makes my hair, nice shiny and soft...
