If you equate love with sex then the answer is obvious. However, they are NOT the same. I've been around a long time, so I can assure you--you can be in love with someone without having to have sex with them; and conversly, you can have sex with someone without being in love, which is most often the case today. The mating drive--sex--is very powerful, and is strictly emotional; so it would definitely cloud your judgement toward a particular person. Love, on the other hand, can be emotional, but if the mind and heart are working together then it can also be logical, reasonable, honest, etc. Love is self-sacrificing; so ask yourself this question: would he give his life willingly for me if it were really necessary? Would I for him? That's how far love would go! Love is more often shown in small ways, like not arguing a point even if you're right, being considerate of his/her moods, doing little things you know they like (or not doing something you know is annoying to them--like singing in the shower!), helping him/her on with a coat, and so forth.

if you are not married or in a ADULT relationship, SEX is NOT a necessary activity, to show or prove your love.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE SEX TO PROVE YOUR LOVE TO ANYONE!

Once you are married, or in a like relationship, sex becomes more important within the way love is communicated. Without it, it would be a roommate situation, someone who you share a house with, but are not sharing yourself.

back to where i think you might be going. DONT GO There.... wait ... Dont be too eager to Give Away something that you can Never take back.... WAIT Wait wait.... I wish I had waited longer than I did... (too late for me, but not for you!)

dont be pressured into anything---and if your bf/gf loves you, they wont force you to have sex before you are ready...

good luck and JUST Wait!

It depends on what stage your relationship is in. If you are married and not expressing your love through sex at all, something isn't right. If you haven't been for very long, sex may complicate things instead of make it better. Only do it if you feel ready and 100% willing to express love on that level. A relationship can last without it.

sex is a symbol brought to you by commericals and TV programs.

Kissing,.hugging, petting actitivities the so called petty sex is normal part of human physical expression for the other human being ..it is normal and healthy.

hardcore sex..theones we see so often on TV and movies is only for shows and entertainment..there is no place for that in a real relationship..because human or breeding mammals,,the physcial intimacy is only part of the human physical cycle.

a relationship should place love, respect and emotional concerns first...not sex
