Is it possible to use it everyday without damaging your hair? What are some great tips on using flat irons prior and after?

There are several products that are designed for flat irons, they use the heat to help your hair. I would suggest trying them!

There are many products to help the damage caused from irons: a good one to spray on hair before using the flat iron: L'Oreal alt. studio Iron-tamer. It'll help protect your hair. Plus, it smells good! And unfortunately, using a flat iron everyday will damage hair. And for after using the iron, you can put like a pomade or styling cream on afterwards which will make the hair look less dry and frizzy. hope that helps!

V05 has a new flat iron hair protecting spray out that I use...I have colored my hair several times and it is very easy to damage and that is what I use...Just spary it alot on the ends b/c that is where the most damage is created from a flat iron...If u can't find that then go to about and beauty supply store and I am sure that they have a safe product that u can use....good luck with ur prob...

Get product that is for thermal use. On the product it will mention that it will protect the hair from damage done to the hair by straightening and curling. I use CHI polishing spray.(Product in link below) Really, thats all you can do. The heat damages the hair too. Make sure the heat isnt higher then what you need to have your hair straight.

Best Flat Iron product is Redken Smooth Down heat glide, it doesn't allow your hear to burn and is specially formulated for flat irons. Also look after your hair with a great shampoo and conditioner. good luck.

The truth is u shouldn't use it every day but like my daughter who uses it every day we use a live in conditioner like redken glass or framesi's options soothe, and there's biosilks silk therapy all of these are live in and u put them on before and after u flat iron but u need to let ur hair rest ever so often really and use cat from redken every week 2 times a week its a rinse out protein u shampoo towel dry spray the cat on live it 5Min's rinse out and cond. and go this well shine and cond. ur hair like u wont believe.

I have the new wet/dry hair straightener from Remington. It is better for you hair than the other straighteners, because it does not fry and burn your hair like regular ones. I also use a straighting spray that I spray on before I start, that puts vitamins into your hair.

let conditioner stay in your hair for 10-15 mins and hot oil it so that it will not be damaged though you use hair iron.

Make sure to use shampoo and styling products that are meant for heat styled hair, like Thermasilk.

-Dont do it when wet
-buy a ceramic streightener
-use good shampoo with vitamins
-dont do it every day
-put only natural streightening balm in your hair no harsh chemicals
-dont straighten over hairspray
