there is a guy i have liked for quite sometime. he knows i do, but hasnt pursued me since he became single. how can i really grab his attention? i am a little shy....

Smile when he passes by, dont say anything let your eyes do the talking. When he's passed take a quick peep back at him, see if he catches you.
Ever seen totally spies before? Well clover suggexted you use the fake bump method or fake your lost. This usually works becuz when you ask for help they usually have this pulling need to help and be the hero. But dont be pushy, or desperate play a little tug of war. Sometimes your hard to get, sometimes your not. Guys love a nice challenge or obstacle to over come to get to know you...it'll at least make him interested.
When maybe its forever that he doesnt get it... act casual and ask if you could hang out more, to know each other. Dont say the word friends too hard, or he might think just that.
When you think you have to ask him out yourself, just do. But after that let him take over to where he should bring you guys becuz guys like it if the're the one who brings the girl everywhere...

Just don't be shy! But don't be too crazy, either. Just try to stand-out by doing your hair differently or seomthing.
And you should talk to him, as well. See what he likes, get to know him! Laugh at his jokes (No matter how stupid) and act like a girl. Tomboys are seen as more of just a friend. Trust me, acting like your crush DOESN'T HELP, lol
But yeah just be yourself and flirt a little! Show him you can be the girl of his dreams and take a chance!

It sounds like you really into this guy but do you think that if the relationship was based on rebound,would it work out?Maybe he hasn't pursued cause he's not ready?Give him a little more time and get back to me...

Be friends with him. Hang out, do things together or with a group. Get to know him a little more. Often times, when you get to know someone more, you either get more attracted or less attracted. Sometimes you have to make the first move. Go! :)

ok look the truth of it is this, all the pressure is on us guys, we are supposed to ask you, we have to pick and plan out the date IF we are able to get you interested and keep it long enough to impress you. So if a girl takes all that pressure off of us by asking us out we love it so just go for it.

Invite him to dinner & a movie, or your favorite coffee house if you have one. If he's recently single, he may still be shell shy, you may have to just offer to be a friend, let him talk, etc...& see what transpires, what have you got to lose? try to be close with him,try to know him better,try to see him in another point of view.When you really know him well,it make things easier to you...you can try to ask him to do the thing he like with you......i consider this as slow-mo flirt....show him your appreciation to him,show him how much he meant to you,show him your willingness to do anything for him
