This would not be an action of love. It would be the opposite of Love.

Catholics believe that God is Love and would not simply use Mary just to cast her off and disrespect her.

Worship Mary? Ya, right. That would constitute idolatry, and the Holy Catholic Church absolutely condemns idolatry in any form, which you could have discovered for yourself by simply looking it up in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
Someone claimed that Mary was not born from two people?? News to me! I would think that her parents, Anne and Joachim, would qualify as two people?
It's just unbelievable the level of ignorance some people have concerning Catholicism. Sad, considering that all the true information is readily available to anyone who wants to take the time to look at it. But some folks would rather get their misinformation from Chick tracts and other forms of pre-packaged ignorance. Sad.
I wonder what these fundies give their own vessels on Vessels' Day. Oh wait that's called MOTHERS' Day!

Not at all. Mary and Joseph were both in the blood line of David and the Messiah was to be from the line of David. Joseph's side had a curse against it due to the sins of an ancestor between David and Him. I'm sorry, I don't remember this persons name, but it is described in an old testament book. Mary is also of the line of David. God chose her because she fit. She was of the right bloodline and she must have been 'good enough'.

This also tells us that sin is transmitted through male sperm. So in one fell swoop, God choosing Mary and marrying Mary to Joseph places Jesus in the line of David from both sides (legal and physical) while working around the curse placed upon Josephs side.

Oh, and also, don't forget that Gods ways are above ours and we won't always understand everything that he does. But afterwards, if you choose to spend an eternity with him, those truths may be revealed.

Good question!

Mary was a "vessel" to carry the son of God and make him human, but he did not cast her off and disrespect her. God trusted her to raise his only son and the Savior of us all. Where did you get the idea that Protestants believe that he did?

Mama Mary was indeed a vessel,.. remember your rosary, the litany of the blessed Virgin? spiritual vessel, vessel of honor, singular vessel of devotion. God indeed used Mary, He chose her to be the mother of our Savior. Because of love. And Mary was not cast off and disrespected. We hail her glorious and blessed to take into her womb, Jesus Christ. It was a hard choice, a hard path, but it was the way to our salvation.

sufferings doesn't mean you're not loved. Remember, Jesus was betrayed, scorned, tortured and nailed to the cross. Why? Because of love. Everything has to happen because it was the path,..

God never cast her off neither did He disrespect her..she found favor with the Lord, but she was still a normal woman..she was not sinless..the bible tells us that the only one to ever be sinless was Jesus Christ.

God chooses whomever is open to Him. God chose Mary to work His perfect will..to fulfill prophesy.

I think that God HONORED Mary by using her to bring forth our Savior, and while I respect Mary, she was just an ordinary woman who God chose to do his biding. I'm sure you believe that your priest/bishop or whoever was chosen to do God's work, but that doesn't mean you build him a shrine. I think that Catholics basically idolize Mary. You pray to ask her to pray to Jesus/God to forgive your sins. Mary cannot save your soul or forgive your sins, only Jesus can, so why are you asking her. While she plays a key role in Christianity, she is not the Father, the Son, or the Holy Spirit.

You Catholics disrespect her more by worshiping her, and claiming she was not born from two people, and saying that remained a virgin all of her life.

She had several other children after Jesus, and you totally through them away, how disrespectful is that?

You refuse to recognize her parents, very disrespectful.

We are pray to non other then God and you say you do not, but when you have More prayers to Mary then even Jesus that is worshiping her no matter what you say.

Actually, God's relationship with Mary was rape and incest.
The Holy Trinity is God-Jesus-Holy Spirit, they were one for eternity and Jesus was God and one with God before He was born, along with the Holy Spirit of course.
When God-Jesus-Holy Spirit inseminated Mary it was an act of incest since dad's semen was the son's and he was screwing himself into existence: that is called begat.
No place in the Bible does it say that Mary gave consent to this and without consent it is rape because Mary was under the age of 13 and that is statutory rape since she cannot by law give consent.
Now if this was real, God would have had kids just like the first time and make Himself out of a ball of mud or clone Himself out of a bit of rib tissue.
That "vessel" and "love" bit is a petty intellectual insult compared with rape and incest. Those are the big issues. Those are the issues of my being able to express my religious beliefs un-fettered by censors or Christian bigots.

Jesus is God. Jesus came out of Mary's vagina. Therefore, Mary is the mother of God.

you're reading too much into this. God has used a lot of people, and that doesnt mean he is not caring. He used Moses, he used Abraham, Noah, etc. All had a great purpose that still helps mankind today.
