Alright,

You and a guy meet. It's the first time you do and he says he'd like to see you again and asks for your number.

Question why do you give him a number and then not answer or return calls?

Why can't you just say "No" or "Not now"?

maybe it seemed like a good idea... but then after she thought about it ...changed her mind? maybe she foudn someone else or is just not interested. Sometimes girls feel presured & dont want to be mean in saying no & embarrassing u &/or her....but then realizes later she has no intention of going out with u. sorry girls are mean, good luck

I wouldn't give a guy my number if I had no intention of answering or returning his calls. If I could answer his call I would, but if not it would be because I was at work or otherwise obligated. However, I would return the call when I had a free moment. I don't ever intentionally just ignore people.

Girls may not want to be thought of as cold or "the bad guy" so they put off face to face what they feel they need to do so they aren't confronted. Or maybe they just don't like the confrontation at all. Let's face it, when a girl says, no you can't have my number, and some of them DO, you feel like, "what the hell is wrong with me?" Am I right? Well, maybe they are not in the position to answer that and maybe it has nothing to do with YOU at all. And any questions that she may be confronted with at that moment is better left to an unanswered call. That's pretty straight forward. OR maybe she just changed her mind. OR maybe she was forced to leave the city she was living in because her evil step-father was making her stuff forune cookies with the little paper fortunes in his fortune cookie factory? WHO KNOWS why anyone does things when it comes to opposite sex!! There are no rules, and all is fair!

Some guys will bug us to no end until we give up a number. Sometimes we give a fake number like a gay hotline or maybe even ours. If we do give our number we may decide later that it wasn't a good idea. Sorry that's it has happened to you. We just don't always like rejecting you face to face. When you ask, throw in that its cool if they don't give it.

I can't speak for all but if I don't really want to talk to someone I wouldn't give them my number. And if I did give it to them I'd take or return the call. Sounds like your dealing with immature females.

Maybe she's really busy, or not home, or lost her cell phone, or just wasn't the girl for you. People like giving/getting asked for their number because they feel flattered, but circumstances change. Don't worry, and don't take it personally. Just move on. There are plenty of fish in the sea.

Maybe it seemed like a good idea to her at the time. There can be a lot of reasons why she has not returned your calls. Maybe she wants you to pursue her even more vehemenently. Or maybe her Ex came back to her or maybe she is just too hung up at work. Why don't u just chill for a while and see wat happens.

It's really really hard to reject someone when they're right there in front of you. It makes you feel really callous. Not answering calls is much easier, and it makes you feel like you're letting them down more gently. Plus you don't have to see their hurt face.
And, don't just blame girls. This is totally a human thing. Guys do it all the time too.

I would only give a guy my number if I was truly interested. Im not into leading guys on. So if I gave him my number and he called me, he can count on me to answer his calls!

I guess they gave him their number on impulse, but when she gets home realizes that she doesn't really want to see the man again.
