Question in particular geared towards Christians. Cannot use fall of man (i.e. man brings evil/suffering into world) argument since dinosaurs precede man.

He did create Dinosaurs before man..... 1 DAY before. Man and Dinosaurs lived together in harmony until Adam and Eve made a conscious decision to disobey God. Afterwards, dinosaurs continued to live on the earth, and would have been on the Arc (the average size of a Dino is about the size of a chicken and Dinos as we understand them are reptiles, so are born from eggs).

But MUCH MORE importantly, the question you ask CLEARLY DEMONSTRATES why a believe in Evolution and that dinosaurs existed millions of years before man undermines the book of Genesis which sets the foundation of the whole bible.

Dinosaurs DID exist. If you can pick a bone out of the ground then you CAN'T deny it. The bible says that they were created on day 5, man on day 6. Dinosaurs were even described in the book of Job. and in a few others places in the bible.

Dino's are no different the mammals, birds, plants, fish, etc. They were created BEFORE man (only a few days before) and they suffer from the same thing that man suffers from, sin.

Evolution and Creation cannot mix. Your falacy is in the statement that dinosaurs existed before man. Follow along for a very brief overview of the doctrine of the Bible.

Death entered the world as a result of sin.
Adam was the first man, and we inherited his sin nature.
Jesus (the second Adam) came to redeem us by being the perfect sacrifice.
If evolution is true, then death existed before Adam, and Jesus' death on the cross is of no effect.

If you don't believe me, then maybe an Athiest could convince you.

Look at this quote from "American Atheist" publication.

“Christianity has fought, still fights, and will continue to fight science to the desperate end over evolution, because evolution destroys utterly and finally the very reason Jesus’ earthly life was supposedly made necessary. Destroy Adam and Eve and the original sin, and in the rubble you will find the sorry remains of the Son of God. If Jesus was not the redeemer who died for our sins, and this is what evolution means, then Christianity is nothing.”

– G. Richard Bozarth, The Meaning of Evolution, American Atheist,

So, to ask me, a Christian, to answer the question without bringing up the fall of man is not possible.

Now, another subject entirely is why I believe that dinosaurs and man could have co-existed. That will be for another day.

The way I see it so: Dinosaurs weren't created "before" man, technically perhaps a day or so, but not long. And for the matter of suffering, I don't think they did. Just because they died doesn't mean they "suffered" Many animals die every day, don't tell me you are worried also about the cricket you stepped on a few days ago. The world changed, it changed a lot, I know you said no fall of man business, but after the fall of man, the garden changed, the whole world changed. The land shifted, and was no longer easy to produce food from. (genesis 3:17) "To Adam he said, "Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, 'You must not eat of it,'
"Cursed is the ground because of you;
through painful toil you will eat of it
all the days of your life. "
I believe that after that, the earth had to change, the garden was sealed and the ground was tough. The vegetation I sure was no longer lush, and eventually the Dinosaurs had to have died out. This is my opinion only, So don't blame all Christians for this out look, its mine, not theirs. God bless

This is a really good question. I've heard several theories.

One, that dinosaurs were the first creation.

Second, that dinosaurs didn't actually exist and that the fossils were just part of the creation of land.

Third, that dinosaurs were created with man but that Adam and Eve lived in the garden for millions of years before Satan ever tempted them.

What do I believe? I have no idea. This is one of those questions that I'll have to ask God when I get to heaven. I have quite a long list.

Dinosaurs were in existence 235 million years ago..They had gone into extinction around 65 million years ago.... This era precedes the creation of the biblical era ( First four CE centuries ) and those eras mentioned within the bible by Millions of years. This fact totally dismisses the idea that the existence of the Dinosaurs is a responsibility that falls on the hands of some sky daddy ( Your God ). God did not create any dinosaur...Dinosaurs emerged by evolution. And they have gone into extinction due to evolution and catastrophic cosmic events.

There is scientific, irrefutable evidence to prove that man co-existed with the dinosaurs. It is amazing to me why the so called minds of our society still refuse to print the entire truth. Evidence like detailed carvings of all different types of dinosaurs on the walls of caves. Who did these? Ape-men? Evidence of fossilized footprints; man's bare foot over a dinosaur print -several such fossils. Why is this evidence not in the text books? Dinosaurs are mentioned in the oldest book of the Bible -Job. They're not called dinosaurs because that's a fairly recent phrase which simply means, reptiles.
PS. Here's some scientific material you can sink your teeth into, fossile found of mother ichthyosaur in process of giving birth. Flesh of new born -most prone to decay- in good shape. If fossiles take millions of years to form, explain this?

Well, it actually says nothing about dinosaurs, but they DID exist. The Bible DOES say that animals man has never seen exist in Heaven, but nothing specific. I think He created them on Earth before man because he wanted them to get used to life, then come to Heaven to have a better life. Not until THEN did He create man.

You are working on a false hypothesis. It was man that created the dinosaurs.

It really make me wonder if people like yourself actually went to school?

Our planet is somewhere around 4 1/2 billion years old. When god created animals, fish, and bird, not to mention insects, He did not need your advise.

What makes you think God allowed them to suffer?
Sit down sometime and ask God to help you understand His Word. Do it His way and all your questions will be answered.><>
