Why were we not given something more simple (and less prone to pain) to procreate? Heck, why were we even split into two sexes in the first place?

THIS IS THE WAY GOD CREATED US AND SO FAR THIS SYSTEM IS WORKING WELL BECAUSE HUMANS STILL EXIST !!!
AND FOR THE MALES SORRY FOR THE PAIN YOU ENDURE BUT WOMAN ALSO FEEL PAINS TOO WHEN THEY PROCREATE (I.E MATERNITY LABOR)!!!

personally I wouldnt want to be asexual. and the act of procreation is fun,enjoyable good excersise and a great way to relieve stress. Now i dont know what kinda pain your feeling in your penis but its not supposed to hurt so go get that checked by a doctor. and i think we are split into 2 sexes cause I couldnt do it with myself even if i had the capacity man to watch myself in a mirror NASTY. shite i have seen better heads on lettuce

Dont know what is wrong with your Penis, but mine does not give me pain. It gives me much pleasure.
God Created male and female, so they could mate and make babies. That is the way it is. Next time you can do it differently.

I'am told many times, that my penis gives pain but it always turn to pleasure. So I say we have a penis to give pleasure. And to your two sex question, some question cannot be answered, and should not.

I think our sex organs are in the wrong places. It's hard to reach if a guy is puny.
Don't know why we are two genders, perhaps to make us seek out each other and create a family unit.
And to make sure we love someone else besides ours selves - *shrug*.
