1) Atheists are NEVER going to be intimidated by the comment, "someday you are going to have to face god."
2) Atheists do not believe Jesus was the son of god, or that he is EVER coming back. (no matter how many people say he is.)
3) Atheists consider themselves incredibly fortunate to have thrown off the mantle of religion, so they don't see the idea of finding God or Jesus terribly attractive.
4) Plenty of atheists have read the bible, some have studied it intensively (even more than you), and this is one of the reasons they BECAME atheists.
Ergo,
5) Atheists do not consider quoted scripture to be a convincing argument.
6) Atheism is NOT a religion, or a disbelief of religion, it's a lack of belief in a supernatural god.
7) Not all atheists believe in evolution, the big bang, absolute mortality, etc. Although most SCIENTISTS believe in these things, not all atheists are scientists.
I state these things without prejudice or passion. They are simple facts.

I wonder if the theists read this post and think, "wow, this could just have easily been written by a Christian as an atheist!"

What concerns me about atheists is that they have no hope for anything better than the messed up world we live in. I think that would be sad and depressing.
I don't want to be one of those Christians who are insensitive and try to cram their beliefs down your throat. I have a lot of compassion for people and just hate to see people struggling in a Godless world.
I do appreciate your insights into the thoughts of atheists.

You know you do have a point. I myself have to go to a Catholic School and here's the thing is that they don't teach evolution, just cells and other biology stuff. Yes Christians do believe in what Science has to say about new matters or new ideas. But let me tell you this, from my 4 years at high school about 60% or more or them could care less about god or anything. Also my family are Christians and trust me they DO NOT believe in evolution, they're against it. It all depends on how serious you take it.

I especially like number 4. It is amazing how ignorant Christians can be of their own bible. I told my brother how one version of the Easter morning event with the three Marys varies so drastically from all the rest that you would have to believe in spite of it, and not because of it. Make a chart and see for yourself. Does a Mary or Marys go to the tomb? Of the angel or two angels, is the angel or angels in the tomb on the stone or in the sky? Do the Marys spread the gospel or are they just left in the tomb at the end of that story? Even for bad human writing its really bad writing, and if the stories don't agree which do you believe when you must believe it all?

Like what you have to say, though I'm not an atheist.
Some atheists though, claim that atheism implies a disbelief in all things supernatural, including God, as well as ESP and all such things.
Thanks for the reminder.

Those are simple facts. If you don't believe in God or Jesus, that is your absolute right, and know one should force you to accept. I do, but I don't believe in shoving my beliefs down others throats.

Have you at least "tried" to look for God to find out if He exists or not?
If I told you that there was a hundred dollar bill taped to your back, would you reach back to grab it, or waste your time arguing that its not there because you cant see it?
Every since I've found God, I get frustrated when people who don't know Him yet, don't even bother to look for him.
The fact is, God exists and nothing can change that from being true. I hope you find Him someday before you die because you are missing out on so much.
Hoping the best for you.

Those facts are the truth dispite the obstinant attempts of some to think the contrary. And the "b" book has in fact changed as revealed by the various versions available. Nice collection of
depiction by the way.
peace out

I think you have stated it quite clearly. The only thing is these atheist ask questions and when we answer they say they don't believe us or could care less. Why ask? Have a happy life, this is the best you will ever get.

Congratulations. A very sound argument.
Hope it works for you.
As for me though, I will continue to love Jesus and God the creator of everything. Why? Coz I believe in him. As simple as that.
They are my simple facts.
And to answer your "question", yes, as a Christian I am aware of all of those "facts" you mentioned. I wonder why you felt the need to write them? Are you being harassed by a Christian? Or does our belief bother you? Either way, I wish you well.

My Mother-in-law was an atheist. She was also mean and evil about it.She sent money to that O'Hara person.I loved her but when it came to talk about God she always made me cry.
But I never stopped praying for her. When she was in her late 60's she gave her heart to Jesus. She lived to be 81.
The day she gave her heart to Jesus made up for all the tears I cried.Till the day she died, with me at her side praying, she was my best friend.I miss her so much.
I say, I will never stop praying for the atheists. There is always hope.
