Has anybody used this? Does it work? Should I use it all over my face or just as a spot treatment? Also, how long should I keep it on? Thanks - sorry so many questions!

well that's doesn't sound like it would work very well only try it on a small spot 1st cause it may break u out even more, a good way to get rid of a pimple though is to get an asprin and crush it up and add a little water until it forms kind of a paste and put it on the pimple over night that should help, but whatever u do don't pop it or even try it it's very bad for ur skin! good luck

If you wan to use lemon juice on the spot treatment you can.
Hold an ice compress against the area. Once the sore has erupted, dad on lemon juice mixed with a pinch of sea salt. dilute with water if it seems too concentrated. Leave on for 10 minutes.

LEMON JUICE:
Is a great cleanser and healer with anti-bacterial properties.
A useful natural bleaching agent, it also helps to restore the skin's acid balance.

i tried it maybe 8 or nine years ago and ended up with very bad results, i tried it again as a mixture of glycerin and lemon juice to "purify" the skin as my friend said , instead i got blackheads and the pimple multiplied into pimples. now i know better than to listen to anyone before trying it on my elbow or earlobe first if i didn't research it because natural doesn't necessarily mean safe.
i suggest you go and buy an acne product with benzoyl peroxide or salycilic acid in it like from neutrogena, it's much safer than home remedies and more effective.

Never tried it. But here are some ideas.

If it's something you can ingest, I figure it couldn't really hurt your skin either. Just be careful.

If you want to try it, I think it would be better as a spot treatment. You don't want to risk irritating skin that doesn't need to be messed with.

Best of luck!

the acid within the lemon could burn your skin causing it to worsen and appear red it will dry out your face to much use a little rubbing alcohol instead in which the rubbing alcohol will dry out only the pimple

Don't do it. It is VERY drying not to mention irritating.

If your acne is mild, use a good skincare line, STICK TO IT, don't pick at your face, and see how it goes. Use products like Oxy that are 5% benzoyl peroxide.

TOOTHPASTE WILL NOT CURE YOUR PIMPLES. it may for u but it made mine worse. the paste went into my skin and the pimple became filled with paste. it was big and ugly so i popped it and pus and dried up paste came out. ewwwwww i know it's very gross............. imagine how i felt. lemons are good they will clean your skin but not too much. so far the things that worked for me are:

drinking one glass of milk with 2 spoons of honey in it daily

drinking 8 glasses of water everyday

and St. Ives Scrub :D love it

Hope that helps

Use it as a spot treatment, otherwise it might dry out your whole face. Honey is also a pretty effective spot treatment, as is toothpaste....... Apply any of them before you go to bed, and wash it off when you wake up.
