when garlic goes bad there are these long green things that come out of it...it doesnt look like mold really it looks like fingers...what the hell is that stuff?

the leaf of the garlic...and the garlic is like a big seed... plant it in water and u see result

Garlic is a bulb, the green that grows are roots, this is the part of the garlic that gives many people indigestion problems ( it stems from the center of the garlic). You can actually still eat the garlic if you pull that out(or cut it out) unless the actual garlic has gone soft or gotten dry.

on condition that this is kept in a humid enviroment the position a mildew can smash it .in the different case if kept in the pantry all it's going to do is dry-up yet do not toss it out only throw in a grinder and make g-powder .. also those with the golf eco-friendly are waiting to plant /caution even with the truth that-garlic is a bulb and at the same time as left in the floor it spreads like wildfire... so attempt planting in a field. you'll have sparkling garlic 365 days round ...

Garlic grows like an onion in the ground so when you plant them those green things growing are the part of the vegtable that grows above the ground.

Those are shoots which means that the garlic is sprouting. You can plant it and try to grow your own garlic.

It is called sprouts, they do the same on onions and potatoes. Try to plant it in the ground, I am sure you will have a garlic plant in no time! Good luck!

the green things are the leaves of garlic and if you plant it in your kitchen garden you will get more garlic out of it after few months.

it is trying to sprout on you . Usually if the temp in your house is just right then garlic and onions will try growing from the base.

You can break off those sprouts and still use the garlic.
