So many Christians are trying to avoid sex by reproducing through raiding warthog litters. This is not working out well so to keep up their numbers and keep ahead of the Mussies, they have to bring in new people.

There are different kinds of motivations for that.
Some think it is important to have a lot of people as part of "christendom".
Others feel it will make less - muslims, or hindus, or atheists, or whatever.
Personally I don't think either of these motivations is very interesting.
However I do have a motivation of my own, and which I believe belongs more to what Christianity is all about.
To me, real life, eternal life, is to know God and to know His Son Jesus Christ.
I believe that knowing Jesus Christ as Saviour does not only affect a person's eternal life, but also enhances life on earth.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever should believe in Him should not perish, but have eternal life".
Believing that, if I were not to try to attract people to Jesus Christ, I would be the worst hypocrite, and the most selfish cad in the world, don't you think?

OK, I'll answer you. Some think it is important because they want to save souls. Some seem to need to save others to save their faith in something that is really strange. Some people don't care whether a person converts. And finally, some people think that Christians should convert to hedonism.
Ya just can't stop those crazy humans from thinking.
