Ok here the deal I want to get a new vehicle I have a focus now 2000 in good condition just small, I am in my early 20 's and a mini van seems a little weird just the best for my situation I thought about a SUV, but I also need rooma dn not a gas hog. So I got three dogs all about 70 lbs and getting a fourth. I take them with me alot and my focus will be too small now. So I need something good on gas has the room and is not going to kill my bank account. I will probably trade my car in or my saturn which is a 1998, but not as good as my focus come condition. If anyone has any ideas I'd like to here. I was think of maybe a saturn vue cuz they have good deals for their cars and suvs, plus the trade in is a saturn. My next choice is a dodge mini van with Sto-N-Go. So what else is out there and would fit the bill??

Go for any Toyota vehicles. They are incrediable reliable. We own one and it has had only small regular mantainence things done to it since we have had it for 14 years. Our next car will definately be another Toyota.

The best advice I can give you is choose something you can afford to pay off in under 5 years. New car loans have you paying all the interest up front so you can be upside-down if you have an accident in th first year. (you owe more than what an insurance company will re-imburse you if it is totaled) Also Investigate the insurance premiums you will pay on your choice. SRV's for a woman in their early twentys may astound you.

I am much older than you so my point of view might not agree with your mindset but I don't purchase anything that goes down in value that takes more than 1/2 year of my wages to afford. I will give you a third option that you might not have thought of....

Buy a used minivan for dog travel and a new Honda Civic or a new Ford Focus for your personal travel and sell the other cars. or keep your present Focus. 30-35 grand for a dog hauler??? Spend the money on a home with acerage or a large dog run : )
I am sure the dogs don't care what vehicle they take to Burger King.

The Subaru Outback has just as much room inside as an SUV but its better on gas. My aunt has one and she carts around her son and all of his little friends. That should be big enough for you and your dogs. Its also a car that won't break the bank when you buy it or at the gas pump. Plus Subarus are known to last forever so if you get a used one it should be fine even with high miles on it.

Scion Xb or a Honda Element. Perfect for dogs, bikes, snowboards, stuff

The Scion is cheaper, built by Toyota so it's reliable, and WAY awesome.

If you like that retro thing the Chev HHR or the Chrysler PT Cruiser. The Xb is less than $15K new, the others are more, but not much.

my girlfriend has a ford escape it works for everything, we go clubbing with friends, camping, to the beach, take our dogs to the vet, and even take they neices and nephews out and we always have room. it also gets pretty good gas mileage(i said around 23city27highway) and doesn't look retarded
