I agree with the pictures. Be sure to put labels on the back typed in big font who everyone is (and maybe is descended from) and where the picture is taken. Size 4 x 6 pictures at least and maybe include a magnifying glass although they probably already have one. Or a box like an old lidded box that's hinged to hold them and future pictures.
You are a very thoughtful person to be sending them presents!! They are lucky people!

This may be going way out on a limb, but is there any way you could visit them? Would mean the world to them. I recognize that going somewhere "2 states away" is a considerable task, but you'd earn your berth in heaven if you did. It wouldn't have to be this Christmas, because everybody is so busy, but you could write them a letter and say, Dear Aunt and Uncle, We plan to visit you at Easter (or in the summer) or whenever you could. It would give them something to look forward to and believe me, you will never, ever regret it.

If you or any other relative has pictures of the two of them from years ago, you could do a picture album of them when they were first together, and put them into chronological order where they can see themselves from year to year to present time. I did this for my mother and father in law and they were so thrilled. They don't need clothing, jewelry, gadgets, electronic devices, they have their memories that are precious to them.

If you were stuck in a nursing home for the rest of your life with your husband, what would you want??? How about a bottle of brandy, some lube and a copy of Kama Sutra? Old people do it too you know! At least let them have the time of their life!!!

hand lotion, stamps and note cards with maybe a nice pen.
Maybe a throw or blanket or house shoes. Put their name in them would be nice also.
They probably like the flowers, too.

Something they love/crave to eat. Food in such places are so boring. You will certainly light up their lives with their favourite food or food they seldom get to eat.
