It'd be useful to get a little more information, but talk to him about it. It can't hurt anything if you love him. Don't scare him by talking about long-time committments, but just tell him your true feelings.

Are you dating him? Is he your friend? If not, you should at least try to get to know him. How can you really love him if you don't know him at all? Need more details on your situation.
