U can also receive a revelation from the Holy Spirit.

God's Word tell us if we believe and trust in what the Lord Jesus Christ did on the cross for us then we will go into God's heaven when we die. He died for our sin, He was buried and took our sins away and He rose again the third day for our justification. 1 Corinthians 15: 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1 Corinthians 15: 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Romans 4: 25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

We are all sinners and can not stand before God. Jesus Christ was sent to this world as the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Salvation is a gift. There are no works involved. We can't get to heaven because we do more good things than bad things.

My OWN believe as a Christian is that you must believe in Christ and in his Atonement, have faith in Him (that he can and will do all he said), repent of your sins and be baptized in the proper way (immersion) and by the proper authority (Melchizedek Priesthood), and then live a righteous life thereafter, keeping the commandments and treating others well.

Jesus tells us that He is the way to the Father. That if we call on His name He will not cast us out. Believe in your heart that Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead to save you. If you lack the faith ask Him for it. That is what I did and sure enough my faith has increased.Ask Jesus to come into your heart and life, and help you live pleasing to Him. If you sin, run to Him and confess that sin, don't run away. Not that you really can run away, because He promises to be with you forever. Its a great thing
