tie yourself in bed for a month.. have your gf feed you. kidding
it is just mind over matters and a great deal of will power. If you are really sincere in stopping things then you could do it..

Based on your question and the way it has been worded. I believe you should seek professional help. You can always attend AA Meetings. I am sure in your community you can receive free counseling. In any event, Good Luck - being an alcoholic is not the best way to get through life.

Go to AA meetings, find a sponsor, and work the 12 steps. One day at a time, baby!

I believe that working the Alcholics Anonmous program is the only way to truly stay sober permanently.

AA is i good way to stay sober. Many alcoholics focus on staying sober "just for today". Their is no permanent cure.

you should attend AA, as the other person said and find an alternative addiction that is less harmful to your body, for example, i knew somone who was addicted to smoking and then switched to chewing gum instead, there are many other things you can switch to. try raisins perhaps. usually people with addictions are addicted to the movement of it meaning that smokers like putting things in theyr mouths so raisins and gum work for them, for alcoholics, its drinking something, try mixing sprite with grape juice.

AA works for a lot of people. I have an uncle and aunt who met in AA--they have now been sober (and happily married) for over ten years.

we learned about this drug in organic that docs give to alcolholics that makes them regurgitate every time they have an alcolholic drink. I am not sure what it is called. See your doctor and he can help you out. Good Luck wth that!
