I'm only 13, but I've discovered a small lump, though I'm not sure how to describe its location. It's just sort of there, on the blank patch above the left testicle. I'm known to be a bit paranoid when it comes to this kind of thing, but could this be cancer? Or is it not even possible for someone my age to develop the ailment? I would like some serious answers if possible.

Yeah I know u don't want to hear it, but go to a dr. There is no one on this site that can diagnose ur limp without seeing it. It could just be a lump. I had a boyfriend who had one, just a lump. But it could be something more serious, and u need to have it looked at just in case it is more than just a lump, maybe it is a small hernia. If it were to be cancer, chances of survival r better if it is caught early. Tell ur parents. They would probably rather take u to the dr than wait and see.

I'm a medical student and I think it is not a testicular cancer. Maybe it is hernia or a hydroceole. Observe whether there are any changes in your ejeculation volume, its color, odor. Your erection? Discomfort? Pain? Redness? If these signs are present, please see a urologist or even if these are all absent, still consult a urologist, don't worry doctors always protet your privacy. And the earlier the treatment the better the chances of it getting cured with less complications. Please do not take it frgranted. If you are shy to tell this to your parents, then go to the doctor by yourself. But suggest that you also tell your parents so that they can facilitate for you about the payment of the medical proffesionals.

Is this something that was not there before?

If you are concerned, tell your parents you want to have an exam. Don't be afraid to talk to them about it, or to talk to the doctor. If you don't have insurance, you can always go to Planned Parenthood. Their medical professionals are trained to do the exams as well, they are not just for girls.

I always told my son to pay attention to his body and to do a regular testicle and breast exam. My brother got testicular cancer as a teenager. He didn't tell my parents about it until it was pretty bad, the testicle was much larger than normal. He had to have a testicle removed, and spent time in the hospital on chemo and radiation. He is fine now, and has been for about 20 years.

It is important to be in tune with your body, and to be aware of what is normal for YOU. Not everyone is the same.

Testicular cancer is most common in 18-35 yr olds i believe(may be 19) Its very probale that it's nothing but it is a very treatable form of cancer. you need to talk to your parents and see your dr because ignoring it is just dumb. Why take a chance and have worry hanging over your head when you can clear it up quickly. And early detection is the biggest issue in recovering from it! Seriously dude go to the dr.

My advice would be to have a parent make a doctor's appointment for him/her to examine it. It's most likely not cancerous, but it is always best to have your doctor check it.

ANYTHING could be cancer! Go get it checked out, no matter what you think it may be. Better safe than sorry.

TELL YOUR PARENT AND GET TO YOUR DOCTOR ASAP. AND IF IT IS NOT CANCER DON'T WORRY ABOUT BEING CALLED PARANOID. GET IT CHECKED OUT ASAP.
