Yet we are supposed to be "Tolerant" of Islam who BTW believes in "Convert or Die". They should learn by the history of my own religion from 600 years ago that this DOES NOT WORK!
What do you think? And please, without attacking me or Christians. I'm bracing myself here! Thanks!

Lol, well since I am a christian too you should know that we will always endure this because face it, as we get closer to Jesus Christ coming, peoples hearts will get more cloudy and hardened. All you can do is forgive and forget because that is what jesus demands of us. And by the way you are not bracing yourself, you are surrounded by Gods people, you just don't know it, God told me this in the Bible. Be filled with the spirit and if you need any thing you want to talk about email me at uziell3@yahoo.com, your brother in Christ Uziell.

Which attack would that be? The insistence that we teach only science in science classes? Or the recognition that there are more religions that just Christianity in the US?

Being tolerant of Islam does not mean tolerating the rantings and agendas of radical groups, any more than we are obligated to tolerate the rantings and agendas of the Aryan Nation, the KKK or the One World Church. It means recognizing that the goofnuggets that are giving us so much trouble in the ME are not representative of mainstream Islam and that real Muslims are not part of the "Convert or Die" ideal.

It means recognizing that Muslims are people with a different set of beliefs about the world and that they have a right to their opinion and method of worship...as long as it is peaceful...in this country.

Why do you say what you have no knowledge of, people submit of their own will, when guidance comes to them. Muslims let the Jews and Christians live under their protection, this convert or die myth, I have no idea why you think it.

[002.256] There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become distinct from the wrong path. Whoever disbelieves in Tâghût and believes in God, then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break. And God is All-Hearer, All-Knower.
(V.2:256) The word Tâghût covers a wide range of meanings: It means anything worshipped other than the Real God , i.e. all the false deities. It may be satan, devils, idols, stones, sun, stars, angels, human beings, who were falsely worshipped and taken as Tâghût. Likewise saints, graves, rulers and leaders are falsely worshipped and wrongly followed but the one who does not accept to be worshipped, will not be considered as a Tâghût. Sometimes Tâghût means a false judge who gives a false judgement (See V.4:60). [See Tafsir Ibn Kathir; and (V.4:51)].

God here being whom you refer to as the Holy Father.

i think that the more one is studied the more one starts find a truth that leads to doubt and to not believe anymore, and when they stop believing and feel they are made to live by someone Else's belief they start attacking.
i don't like to have to live by someone Else's beliefs. as a little kid i had trouble believing in the bible and god... i thought is was a fairy tale (which most of the fairy tales we know now where somewhat real, just highly embellished) until i was told it was not and was made to believe in it. as i have studied throughout the years, and this has happened to a lot of people i know as well, i have become a non-believer. this is just by taking, to mention only a couple: art history, and not finding anything about god in the first findings of art. psychology, how the mind works, even what chemical reactions happen when one becomes "enlightened." geology (which religious activists don't want it to be taught in school because of its teachings of evolution), how earth was made and evolution. mind you, these were just basic classes i had to take, and i did not take these classes deliberately to discover that there is no god...it just happened! this might be happening to a lot of people which could be one of many reasons why christianity is under attack.
i have come to discover that europe is one of the most atheist countries i know, and from what i've heard from a lot of my foreign friends, is a lot more well educated than the u.s. it's kinda weird too cause isn't it like the "capital" or stating point of christianity?
could i be onto something?!?!

Oy vey, bist du megushaneh?

LMAO.

Let's hope the people wake wake up, here. They know not what they do by allowing those serpents into their homes.

See for yourselves how the Muslims have repaid people in UK and Australia and other non-Islamic Countries, where they went, for their hospitality.

There are thousands of more links and proof of what these mentally challenged people are capable of doing to you.

Of course, it's only when they've given us a few more 9/11s and a lot more of these kinds of atrocities, that our indolent people will wake up to the threat!?

In the mean time, their numbers are growing alarmingly. And we are still allowing in their immigrants.

So, let's be Politically Correct and soon we'll be Very Dead!!!

Merry Christmas!!!!

Christianity is not necessarily under attack but the political climate of the country exposed the Christian right wing fundamentalists...whom are not any more accepted in the main society than say....gay people or any other sect of society that differs from the main stream.
The emergence of Christianity in politics also reminds people of the fact that our founding fathers wrote separation of church and state into the constitution for very good reasons...and no one wants someone Else's beliefs either shoved down your throat or used to make you feel as if your less worthy than the "enlightened Christians".
I say live and let live, respect the diversity in our country and be thankful we have it.
Peace!

600 Years ago, Christians made great gains by killing and torturing those who would not convert. If that's your example, it seems a bit flawed. It would seem more to encourage that which you are trying to discourage. This isn't meant to attack, but merely state fact.

As far as Islam, why is it that Christians seem so persecuted. Islam isn't attacking Christianity here, they are attacking a regime that seems bent on forcing it's own ideals on the rest of the world. We find countries that behave differently, and feel it our "God ordained purpose" to free those who are not asking for freedom, to destroy theocracies that aren't Christian. This is what's being attacked; a government that seems to believe that it has the answers for the entire planet.

Christians enjoy many privileges in this country that others do not. Take the case of Patrick Stewart, an American, fighting in Iraq, who was killed over a year ago, but has yet been provided with a tomb stone with his emblem of faith. He was a Wiccan, and the emblem is a simple circle with a 5 pointed star. His dog tags stated his faith was Wiccan, but our Veterans Administration refuses to accept what has been legally and militarily acknowledged as a recognized faith.

In many states, the laws regarding who may marry a couple state that it should be a "minister of the gospel", with no provisions for non-Christian ministers. Legal holidays in this country are often Christian, with no regard for holidays of other faiths.

Again, this isn't an attack, but I think that Christians ought to recognize that they take many things for granted that other faiths must strugle for.

Persecution, or the perception of it seems to be something of a badge of honor that isn't nearly as much deserved as it is perceived to be.

It's not just Christianity. People realize that somethings wrong with a God concept that has taken over 100 million lives and persuades the believers to ignore it. History some day will look back upon us and say, "They killed over 100 million people in the name of God and everyone looked the other way, what terrible people".
