It's usually cheap metals that do it. (Not gold or silver)

Cheap, bubble gum machine rings are known for it, as are most pieces of costume jewelry if worn too long.

I am very interested in this answer. I am also having this problem but not just with rings. All of my good jewerly (rings, necklace, earings) are turning me green. The only thing that is not is my cheep items. Hope to get an answer soon.

It's not real gold or the silver is not treated or not real. If you are going to wear it either clean it every night and/or get some clear fingernail polish and paint the inside of the ring.

I don't know exactly, but a similar thing can happen with sterling silver jewelry. My best guess would be a minor, non-harmful chemical reaction between the metal and your skin. Hopefully it should go away after a while. If not, see a doctor.

Usually fake rings or ones made out of copper do that. However, I have had gold do it too. I think it is a lack of certain vitamins.

is it a coper ring or does it have copper in it if it does it is the copper in the ring
