Ok there is this guy that i like. Recently i found out by his friend that he just wants to be friends cuz his friend asked him if he liked me.
Well anyways im fine with that. Well i asked him if he wants to hangout sometime and he said yea just give me a call whenever and i said ok. Well he starting asking me what i would want to do and i said it doesnt matter to me and he said yea it does matter and i said no it doesnt to me and he said ok. Then he got quiet for a moment then he says im thinking about going to a resturant and i said ok then he said a really nice resturant and i said ok then he starting telling me about this resturant and from what he told me and from what i see on the webpage its really really nice and fancy. Anyways my question is if he just wants to be friends then why would he want to take me to such a nice place. I asked my mom and she thinks that he likes me but i dont know. The whole thing with him just wanting to be friends makes me wonder becuz im starting to think friends dont take friends out to nice resturants.
I dont know what do you guys think?

You silly girl. Why do you need to know the future? You will soon find out if he wants to be friends or more. It sounds like you are very young and he may just not want to tell your Friend that he likes you as more. Even if he does want to go out as a friend now doesn't mean that he is closed to the idea that after getting to know you better and when you are more mature and he is wanting a relationship that maybe you will be the one. Go out and have a good time with your Friend. The best way to chase a boy away is by doing just that chasing him. PS... Don't get food stains on your face....

I can clearly see that you are really in to this guy. I checked out the restaurant and it seems really expensive. It is definitely not like a guy that just wants to be friends to take a girl to such a formal place. So from my guy senses, he must be somewhat into you.
By the way, I wouldn't listen to what he told his friends. When my friend asked me if I like this cute girl that I had a crush on, I said no, just so they wouldn't think any different of me.
I hope this help... and have fun at the fancy restaurant (don't order anything you eat with your hands or anything too expensive unless he is wealthy)

Maybe he is one of those guys that like to keep his personal stuff personal. Maybe that's why when his friend asked he kept it simple. I would just go a long with the friend thing to make him comfortable and see what happens. It's always best to start as friends anyway.

It's possible he has a strong fear of rejection. He didn't tell his friend that he likes you big-time because he fears his friend poking fun at him if you end up rejecting him or dumping him. He fears rejection so much that he can't bring himself to tell you he likes you in words. So he turns to actions to express his attraction to you. Taking you to a really special restaurant means he thinks you're really special. The best thing you can do to ease his fears is to tell him that you like him and hope he likes you too. If you tell him often enough, he'll probably lose some of his fear and open up to you.

My opinion is that he asked you where you wanted to go. Nice fancy places (which this is not in my opinion, looks like a shithole) are for people who are married and/or are in a relationship or have a family. He wouldn't take you here if he didn't like you.

sure friends take friends to nice places, its a start, go for it, spend sometime with him and see what hes like, maybe just maybe he thinks ur hot and wants to show ya off in public, lolz

WHO'S PAYING? IF YOUR JUST FRIENDS HE MIGHT BE THINKING THAT YOU'LL EACH PAY FOR WHAT YOU HAVE. SPLIT THE CHECK. FIND OUT FIRST AND GO FROM THERE. ALSO HE MIGHT BE REALLY SENSITIVE AND NOT WANT TO COMMIT HIMSELF IF AFTER YOU MEET HIM YOU DECIDE YOU DONT LIKE HIM THAT MUCH.

if he just thought of you as a friend he would have kept it casual... but then again if it was me i would have kept it casual even if i did like you... casual places tend to make way for better conversations... and to me a good time is better than a good setting.
