When growing up, did anyone else's parents refer to Vernors Pop/Soda as "Va-Va-Voom"? My wife's and mine did, but seems like no one else has heard of this.

That's a new one to me. Could it have been part of an advertising slogan?

Or maybe it was just a regional usage. If your parents and your in-laws grew up in the same part of the country, it might be something that only people from that area said.

In Boston, where I am from, all soda is referred to as Tonic.

In the supermarkets, the sign over the soft drink aisles even say Tonic...
