I don't entirely agree with that. Soldiers that are displaced thousands of miles away from home sometimes have trouble finding local places to express their faith (for example, my friend is a Christian in Iraq, without the Air Force Chaplain, he wouldn't be able to find spiritual guidance). Therefore, it becomes the military job to find a way to let soldiers keep at least some semblance of their home lives. It may not be an issue from some soldiers but others, this is the difference between staying spiritually sane on the job and not feeling any guidance.

This country is bad enough but to take away the choice of military members to practice their beliefs is wrong. The chaplains cross religious lines to give moral support and those thinking having them is a waste only demonstrates the ignorance of those who have never served.

They should be allowed in the military because our military overseas need spiritual guidance in what ever religion they are in, if they are religious or not. It's not just one religion represented and it's an individuals choice whether or not they visit with a chaplain.

No, there have always been Chaplains to help the soldiers deal with the harshness of military life. Political correctness is way overdone.

People in the military cannot always get to their ministers or churches so that's what the chaplains are for to help them and guide them.

Does not apply. Secondly, military has chaplains to support the troops and their families they are of all faiths. I am an athesist and am not bothered in the slightest by this. Go take your PC BS elsewhere.

Did you know that they have Chaplains for all faiths: Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, Muslim, even LDS and Wiccan services... you might want to do a little research before you post dumb questions.

Or they should have a representative for other faiths too, just to keep things equal as they keep claiming to be.
