Even "Jews for Jesus" missionary Stan Telchin doesn't know this. He wrote a book for them called "Messianic Judaism is NOT Christianity".
http://www.amazon.com/Messianic-Judaism-Not-Christianity-Loving/dp/0800793722
In this book he clearly lays out that Messianic Judaism is not historical Christianity and should be rejected.
Of course "Jews for Jesus" consider themselves to be practicing Christianity and have no problem engaging in Christmas trees, Easter eggs and all those things. They do NOT consider themselves to be practicing Messianic Judaism (as Stan clearly lays out in his book.)
And much of the Messianic Movement do NOT consider themselves to be Christian, because they don't engage in Christmas Trees, Easter eggs and the other pagan elements of Christianity. Christianity rejects Torah observance, while a good percentage of the Messianic Movement practices Torah observance (at least to some extent). Christians hold "Crusades" like Billy Graham's, but also like the ones held in Europe which slaughtered so many Jews. Obviously you are free to identify yourself which such things, but most Messianics would reject that connection.
So, it would appear that you don't know what you are practicing yet. Read David Stern's "Messianic Jewish Manifesto" to clarify your position a bit more.

I know from the begining that you are a Christian (and probably a messianic jews, from the symbol that you used on the avatar). I don't know, personaly, any Messianic Jews. But I know and I support some of the Messianic Jews organisations, www.levitt.com and www.jvmi.org. The other organisation that support Messianic Jews is www.shoebat.com
Hope this will be helpfull.

Yes, I knew you were Christian and that you were interested in Judaism. But in my opinion, one cannot be a Messianic Jew unless they have first been a Jew. You can be a Messianic Christian maybe, which I guess could mean you observe some Jewish laws.

Dear David,
Yes. This is very cool when a Jewish person finds the Messiah that is prophesied about over 300 times in the Old Testament. It is awesome. You are one of the brethren, man. Glad to be part of the same family!
Blessings to you too-

Yup, I knew that Messianic Jews are Christians. We fellowship with a Messianic congregation in our town. Is that why you do not spell out the word "God"?

if you were honest with yourself and God, you would call yourself christian, not "messianic jews"
the ENTIRE purpose of calling it that and that ENTIRE church is to DECEPTIVELY convert jews by convincing them that they don't have to stop being jewish.
you really should be honest with yourself, and God, and call yourself christian as you are.
do I care? yes. why? because the messianics and "Jews for Jesus" are the most disgusting form of evangelical christianity in the world. its only SLIGHTLY comforting that you do not even realize it.
doesn't it seem odd that your beliefs represent themselves as beliefs of a DIFFERENT religion that are directly contrary to your own?

yeah, then stop calling yourselves jews and stop whining because actual jews don't recognize messianic judaism as a branch of judaism.

You mistake pity for concern. How typical of a god-botherer.
Exactly, Heron. When he first came here, he was strictly Christian. I'll never understand how he became 'Jewish' overnight.
