What helps me in those moments is the knowledge that I've been there before and that it got better -- that it really does get better, even if I don't believe it right now.

I'd like 2 know what makes you feel unhopeful? Is the know ledge there may never b another Star Trek Series movie? or Andromeda show? Is it emotional or factual? Some thing U can change or no?

my kids, every single time when I feel like I am lifting the whole world with my own shoulders..I look at those faces and what it seems (and probably is) unhopeful makes it worth it and being hopeful!

The way you feel is a habit like everything else in our lives. When we start having a pity party, we need to kick ourselves in the butt and start counting our blessings. We can be hopeful about waking up tomorrow morning and getting on the computer and seeing that every one of our answers that we gave tonight were the best answers. I think a hopeful karma gives positive results and vice-a-versa. Peace.

I really like the song "Life" by Our Lady Peace. Get a copy of it to listen to or just look up the lyrics online. It's about how life is really hard sometimes, but it's worth it just to be alive. It's gotten me through some hard times.

I often get depressed by seeing people led astray by scammers, liars and other religious figures.
But all I have to do is read what great men and women, (Marie Curie, Isaac Asimov, Carl Sagan, James Randi, Martin Gardiner) have accomplished to feel better.
