What's crackin' ?

I am from Lafayette/Carencro area and "crackin" does mean get it going or let's get started. AND YES THE SAINT'S ARE THE SSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!
GO SAINT'S. I went to the Saint's and San Fransisco game and yes of coure New Orleans WON!

Well... I don't live in Metairie anymore, but crackin' could mean (depending on the context) "get going", "get it done", "really good". Cracklins as mentioned are fried pork rinds.
And yes, the Saints may have won, but Romo Rules!

I am from New Iberia and I have been disappointed by the Saints
