Nope, humans created god, don't kid yourself.

No... More likely, humans created "God" when they couldn't think of a better explanation. The fact that the concept spawned the creation of the quasi-political entities, and called it 'religion' was just an after effect - also created by humans.

Let's play Devil's advocate, and say that "God" created "Evolution". Why would he need to? Why wasn't it mentioned sooner? If it was part of His creation, then surely the theological records of His word would make some reference to the fact (beyond one non-specific chapter). If Evolution, and the clues pointing to it, were placed by God as part of a cover-up, then why would God play a part in this kind of deception?

While the argument that "Maybe God created Evolution" may help Creationists sleep at night, it is just as easy to say Evolution "just happens" without any supernatural starting point.

The Quran suppots evolution:

14] He is the One who created you in stages.

[71:15] Do you not realize that GOD created seven universes in layers?

[71:16] He designed the moon therein to be a light, and placed the sun to be a lamp.

[71:17] And GOD germinated you from the earth like plants.

[71:18] Then He returns you into it, and He will surely bring you out.

[71:19] GOD made the earth habitable for you.

That does not make sense. If He created He created. In another five years more scientists will be on the side of Intelligent Design. And evolution will fall like the Berlin wall.
We are seeing a number of cracks in the wall.

In as much as I was not around to see how everything came into being (and neither were you),I say, "I don't know ..... YET!" To assume that some god, my less than intellectual ancestors made up, instantaneously farted the universe into being, is absurd

Could be, but that isn't what the Bible says.

I'm an atheist and I bet this is one of the few questions the Christians answer the same way.
