Ok. the answer below is wrong. I had a male cat. And the entire problem began when he went into heat. He started spraying. He would stand with his butt against a wall, hunch his back, and spray. And this stuff smells awful. He also would meow but this deep deep meow. Thats when we started HAVING to let the poor guy out. He would start in about May and stop in October. And then one day we let him out, he never came back.
Get the cat fixed. I'm telling you, the smell is horrendous and hard to clean, and the spraying just doesnt go away. He will keep doing it.

Some male cats, especially the ones that haven't been fixed can be a real pain when other female cats in the neighbourhood, or in the family. The unfixed males will go a courting, and a courting , and a courting, then they will come back and crash for a few hours and go back out. In the interim they also like to spray about, about is sometimes every corner of the house, and the back yard. At my house we discourage this practise because we don't like the smell, which is cat piss, so we go after them when they try and get away with it around here ! Male cats will also croon about and get under your feet when you are trying to walk, and other wise become a pain in the butt. Best thing to do with your cats and dogs is to have them fixed asap, after you get them, they are much happier, and so will you be ! !

men under no circumstances pass into warmth, it incredibly is the girls human beings that do. fixing a woman is spoke of as spaying. it incredibly is an inner surgical operation that they shave the tummy for. fixing a male is spoke of as neutering and it incredibly is achieved from outdoors the cat's physique, no longer an inner surgical operation. it incredibly is a ways much less invasive. in case you're particular you have a male, he's in simple terms lonely. in case you have a woman (and her abdomen replaced into shaved) then she's unlikely to be in warmth on condition that all the reproductive organs have been bumped off yet she would desire to be hurting on condition that inner surgical operation hurts so plenty greater desirable than exterior.

Male cats don't go into heat, just like male humans. You should definately spay/neuter your cats though. For their health as well as to prevent the overpopulation of animals that already exists.

I do not think male cats go into heat. What happens is they can smell a female cat when she is in heat. Then he will go after her, producing kittens later.

Male cats usually don't show signs of being in heat.

He will never go into heat. Males don't do that. He will however give in to his primal male urges to breed and be a "guy". Have him neutered before he starts spraying, chasing "girls", fighting with other males and other things that can get him in trouble. Good luck!

Male cats don't go into heat, they simply chase the females
that are all day & night long.

Male cats do not come into heat- only females. So get your cat neutered, and you will not have to worry about him tomcatting around and contributing to pet overpopulation.
