Yes, all of them. None of the opinions they so loudly display are their own. Generally speaking they come from either A: the Bible or B: their minister/reverend/pastor/priest/whatever.

I'm not sure but I think most believe they are supposed to testify. Now some churches do not insist on this.
My wish is that no religious person would appeal to some bizarre book written in the barbaric pre-scientific era as proof of anything.
Every Christian I know enjoys the blessings of scientifically derived technology and many even use it to promote and market their fund raising. Yet the condemn science.
I would rather that they speak openly and freely than operate in secret to abridge my rights as an American citizen.

Generally when people complain about Christians not keeping their "opinions" to themselves, it is generally because something made us take a closer look at ourselves.
Most of us would prefer to think that we are pretty good folks but that is simply not total fact, now is it?

Why is it if a person is offended by the language of another person, the actions of another person or disrepect of another - we can find ways to overcome it or ignore it - but when someone of another "belief" speaks out - we are ready to attack.

Appreciate that someone is concerned or willing to share with you......it is how Christians are instructed.

Would rather be sincerely faithful than eternally wrong!

Of course. Don't be silly. Lots of us know how to keep quiet, myself included. The fact that we know how to remain silent, however, does not always mean we should. Why should Christians not be expected to speak? Why should all others but Christians be given the right to express opinions? The fact that someone's views are in opposition to yours does not remove their rights to have and to express those views. Sorry. You'll just have to live with differing viewpoints' being expressed. That is, if you stop and think about it, one of the things that makes a free society so great.

I know quite a few, judge not lest ye be judged. PS I am not Christian but I have a few close friends who are and there is really not very much talk about religion between any of us. Maybe you just met some people who are extremists. Not uncommon in any religion, there will always be a few who offend others and make that religion look bad.

TOO MANY!!!

The Great Commission is: "going into all the world, proclaim the good news to every one".

And most certainly, anyone who writes to Y!A R&S, especially with muddled thinking, should expect to get a clear explanation of what the Scriptures actually do teach. Of course, you will also find may different denominational views as well.

If a Christian gives advice in an aggravating way, then they need to learn better tact. However, Christ commands us to spread the Gospel and teach ppl about God and what He expects of us. Often, ppl think our views on morality are our opinions, when in fact they should be a reflection of God's requirements for how we live our lives. In that case, a Christian should always say what God's views are on moral issues, bc what God says is truth.

Yeah, you just don't hear from them very much, because they keep their opioins to themselves.

Depends on if you're asking us Christians to respond to this question or not :) Unless someone asks me, I don't offer my opinion or advice. Particularly on spiritual matters. You can't just come up to a perfect stranger and start spouting off your beliefs. I love God with all my heart. He is the centrifugal force of my life. My intent is always to let the love of God flow through me and my life. If others are interested or see something noteworthy, they will ask me. Otherwise, I'm gonna extend peace and love :)

That's like saying all athiests kick christians in the chins when they see one. A general statement that really doesn't apply to all christians as a whole.
