I need to know if you are sent a 1099 from your employer does the irs get a copy of the same 1099 or do you have to send the copy? Can you be located on using a 1099 form, ie if you don't want to be found is it wise to use a 1099? Once you get employed and your employer sends in the 1099 what information and who can find you based on the information from the 1099? How long does it take once it is filed to be located? (need to protect my small child from bad family member incase you are wondering)....
Thanks for all information....

I am not running illegally with my child, but her father wants to find her, he is ordered by the courts to stay away... but he has money and can pay someone to find me... just didn't know if he could find me this way... like if he hired a police officer or a detective or something like that... can they find me by my 1099...

Yes, the IRS receives a copy of the 1099.

Since it contains the name and address of the employer, it is traceable.
IRS information is not public information, but law enforcement can obtain access.

AS others have said, the IRS does get a copy. In fact, now the IRS doesn't even get a paper copy, but rather gets the data electronically.

You can be traced. A private investigator, along with credit collection services, would use this info to track you.

Last, if you've "kidnapped" your child to avoid visitation and custody, the IRS will be the last of your worries, no matter how noble your cause. Locally, we just had a woman sentenced to 10 years in jail for "kidnapping" her son and disappearing with him. You must fight this legally, or you will be in jail, and then you won't be able to protect your child.

IRS gets copy but 1099 means you are not an employee but a contractor. An employee gets W-2 & IRS gets a copy of that also. IRS will not tell anyone where you are.

Yes, if you receive a 1099, rest assured that the IRS received a copy of it as well.
