I love fresh pineapple. And I have one. Sitting on my counter. Mocking me, because I have no idea how to eat that sucker. Help! I'm so hungry!

well
To enjoy slices of fresh pineapple, simply twist the crown off the pineapple, cut the shell away from the fruit and slice. Or, to make fresh pineapple chunks, twist the crown off and cut the pineapple in quarters, lengthwise. Trim each end, then cut away the center strip and the fruit (as close to the shell as possible). Cut the quartered fruit into bite size pieces and enjoy!

...or try these more creative techniques:

A Fresh Pineapple Outrigger is a beautiful way to serve fresh pineapple. First, cut the pineapple in quarters, lengthwise, leaving the crown attached to the shell. Next, cut under the center core strip, between the core and the fruit. Leave the core strip attached to the shell at both ends of the strip. Working inward from the sides cut underneath the fruit close to the shell. The object is to remove the fruit from the shell, while leaving the core strip still attached. Remove the loosened fruit from the shell, cut crosswise making wedge shaped chunks. Slide the wedges back into the shell. Spread the wedges to create a zigzag or outrigger effect.

A Fresh Pineapple Boat is festive and fun to make. Start by cutting a pineapple in half, lengthwise, leaving the crown attached to the shell. Remove the fruit by cutting close to the shell with a thin, sharp knife or a curved fruit knife. Cut away the center core strip. Then cut the pineapple, and other fresh fruits like sliced bananas, oranges, apples and grapes, into bite size pieces. Mix all the fresh fruit together in the pineapple shell, sprinkle with coconut and serve!

first cut off the top part (If you plant that under a bit of water, it grows)
anyways, then pare the pineapple with a knife. Then slice the black dots out (the pineapple has a diagonal pattern, so just follow the pattern as you slice the black dots out)
then cut the pineapple in half, and cut the halves into smaller pieces.
mmmm yummy

First cut off the top and the bottem then take your knife down the sides just enough to get the hard rind off. in the middle there is a round very hard core (you can see it) position your knife on the top of the pineapple but next to the core and slice all the way down. Do this on all four sides then chop..........I agree yum! My kids can even do this now. Enjoy!

get a long sharp knife.
lay the pineapple on its side.
cut off the top and bottom.
sit the pineapple upright.
from top to bottom, peel it with the knife like an apple.
toss the top, bottom, and peelings.
slice the remaining any way you please, eat it up, and putthe remainings in an airtight container. If it sits there in the fridge overnight, the juice will trickle out of it into the bottom of the container. you will be able to pour the juice into a cup and drink it!!!

Just get a really big knife and slowly and carefully cut a little at a time. After a few "cuts" it should be open!!! Have fun eating your pineapple!! GOOD LUCK!! BUT first you should probably cut the top and bottoms off!

Cut off the top and carve from the inside of the husk. This is the best way to really enjoy it.

Take care.

Enjoy Pineapple

No, is not the saying " an pineapple a day keeps Al Gore at bay"? Worked for the 2000 election anyways.
