If you concentrate on the religions that are obviously wrong, you will be OK, because they are all wrong. There are no such things as gods.

This is a brilliant question. One that has been plaguing my mind for a long time. The only answer I can get the more I open up my mind is that they are all right in their own way. I mean the more you study the different religions and the cultures that follow them the more you find bits and pieces that aid these people with the living of their lives. So there is truth in every religion. I am not saying that all religions are 100% right though. Another interesting point is that some religions say that if you dont believe theirs you will burn in hell for eternity. Hmmm the strongest religions I can think of that say this are christianity and Islam. Then you have budism which suggests you pass onto another realm. Unfortunately I dont think you are going to get an open minded answer to this question. It is something that you have to discover for yourself. Someone once told me you cant know the answer to everything. Somethings you just have to have faith in and believe. Just ask with your heart to be lead to the correct one or be told if there is none at all. Although the fact that you are asking this question indicates you already believe in a higher entity. So I wish you the very best with your journey and may the right religion become a shining light. Boo to opinionated religious people who think you are right and that everyone else is wrong. Shame on you for your narrow mindedness. You all need to emancipate out of your small mindedness.

how many years has the fights, killings, been going on because of Jesus....how may books, and it goes on, and on and on.....and people talk about him all the time, its a subject that never stops being talked about....christians.....but I don't see any thing on Buddhist, no TV programs, or Hindu's, or really Muslims........right now in this century is the first time and actually in the last 20 years has the Muslim religion came to the for front....why would this one book..the Bible be read and translated and recorded and killed for and all that has happened because of this. ....WHY.....hoxes usually are found out quit quickly, but no one can prove or disprove to every ones satisfaction...as I feel that's the way it was suppose to be...it keeps people looking for answerer's...but they will never find them til they reach the other side and meet God face to face... only then will the truth be fully known....only then

The strongest evidence I have for the reason Jesus is the only way...is the empty tomb. No other "relgious" leader came back from the dead.

One other way is to make sure our source tells us only the truth. The 2nd link below has tons of evidence that the Bible is the source of truth so when Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father But by me...He was able to back that up.

But the best way to know is to have a relationship with GOD. Chriistianity is the only faith I know that I can have this relationship in only a few moments, without ever having heard about it before. Every religion involves a lot of study to learn about it before you are accepted. Jesus accepts us...just as we are.

Good question. I went on a course called Alpha. It helped me learn about Christianity. The people were nice and not at all pushy. By the end, my heart had totally changed and I knew it was right for me. It's been over 8 years and I've been much more peaceful and joyful. I hope you are able to find the same confidence and peace. May God bless you. Merry Christmas.

Of course it is through faith. You might also try to use the following logic. What happens to you if you are right? Then what happens to you if you are wrong about your beliefs. If you are athiest and you are right then you die no big deal. If you are Hindu and right or wrong, you get another shot to come around and try again. If you are Christian and right then you go to heaven and if you are Christian and wrong then you get nothing or another shot. If you are not Christian and the Christians are right then you get to go to hell. Think about that.

Atheist whore ? Geesh...don't be so hard on all of us ! lol
Now then...we all tend to think our own personal religion is the "right" one, otherwise we be something different, right ?
So, how can we know ?
First...define religion...(man's attempt to find God). We all think we know how to do that, how to worship Him, etc.
Ok, but we don't have to "find Him...He's always been there...always, forever.
So then...what WE have to do is come into a "relationship" with Him. Quite simply, He sent Christ as the way to be able for us to reach out to Him. It's really that simple.....ask someone you know about how to go about it.

No matter how wildly differing their beliefs, the faithful have been convinced they and they only have a monopoly on truth. They get some great warm fuzzies thinking they are just SO special.

Of course, even if a god exists, they can't ALL be right, and it's far more likely that none of them are right.
