If done in a professional salon, with new needles, and sterile conditions, and you are good about the aftercare, then there is no reason why you couldn't or shouldn't!

It's not a good idea to get tattooed or pierced while pregnant. The risk of infection is low, but if you do get an infection it could be devastating for your baby.
Another concern is the effect it could have on your blood pressure. Sometimes people faint or go into shock after tattoos or piercings. This can cause brain damage or even kill the baby. Even if you've had tattoos before and been fine, don't risk it. I've had about 12 piercings done and been fine every time except the 5th- I was extremely lightheaded, couldn't answer questions, etc. for almost ten minutes. You never know how your body's going to react and it can react differently every time.

I would wait, and then right after the baby is born get it done. There are things that can go wrong and you don't want to put added stress on your body this late in the pregnancy... If you were only a few months along, then I would say go for it.
Besides after child birth the tattoo can be your reward! ( i know other than the beautiful baby)

Any reputable tattoo artist would refuse to tattoo a pregnant woman. I vote "NO". What's the rush. If you wait, you can be 100 % sure that your child will not be affected by the ink.

If I was you I would just wait the month you have left and then get your tattoo. One of the questions they ask when you get a tattoo is if you are pregnant and being eight months you really can't say well no. Just wait hun, you will be able to get it soon enough and your baby should come first before anything eles. good luck to you

No don't do it! The ink is going to travel through your blood stream and get to the baby! it might harm the baby in the early developing stages! You should wait until after you have the baby! if Your gonna Breastfeed, just wait until after you finish breastfeeding then get it! Don't risk your baby's health for ink you can get later!

NO....For one you can get an infection that can spread to the baby and for two it is very possible for you can go into premature labor. Also good luck finding a tattoo artist that will even give you a tattoo when you are pregnant.

You should never get tattoos while pregnant. No professional tattoo artist will do it.
You're 8 months along, I'm sure one more month won't be a hard wait.

Your joking right? Do you want to hurt your baby? Your 8 months...can't you wait a couple more? No tattoo artist is going to tattoo you. There is something in every shop, it is called a biohazard, would you bring your newborn into a biohazard?..No, so, why would you bring your unborn baby into that? Think hunny!

you CAN but you shouldn't. why would you want to risk the health of your baby? not that i think tattoos are dangerous but there is always the possibility of an infection and you should be as safe as possible and do as few risky things as possible until the baby is delivered and you are finished breast feeding. i would wait til after. plus, most reputable tattooers won't tattoo a pregnant woman.

My sister got a tattoo of a butterfly on her stomach sometime within the first two months of her pregnancy. When her belly grew, so did the tattoo, and now it's all deformed looking and misshapen. So I'd say no. Wait a few months, have the baby, then get the tattoo.
