Cream as in a dairy product derived from milk.
A product called half and half is quite comenly used for making icecream.
Ice cream means iced cream as it says and the cream is from the milk that is taken from the cow.
Did you ask how much cream or half and half you would need to buy.

the guy above me is right. You need heavy cream . In the milk section you should find all forms of milk. There should be milk, half and half,buttermilk and heavy cream, sour cream and cottage cheese and yogurt. Only the heavy cream will work for making icecream..
Marshmallow cream is a good topping for icecream though.
Goodluck! homemade icecream is the best kind.
